Ah, that's quite nice. However, I want to be in control.. Well, I think if you could fill up the case with water and throw in a good quiet submergible pump like an Eheim 1046, the thing would probably work better both perfomancewise and soundwise. If this case comes out like seen in the pictures, the only reason for me to buy it is to try to mod it to work...

Hello, I am thrilled to see a passive watercooling product for the living room that can be used as a set top box but I didn't understand how this works.

The aluminum box we see inside the case is both the reservoir and the pump or is the case a large reservoir that the user will fill up with water?

Well, I think if a 3.5" drive enclosure is a viable product then so can be one for 2.5" drives. If you think about it, it is probably a better solution than enclosed 3.5" drives. You will most likely get better results without worrying about overheating, save space and even suspend the enclosure if ...

2.5" drive enclosure [Poll]

Would you be more inclined to use a hard drive enclosure if there was an 2.5" hard drive enclosure (fittable in a 3.5" drive bay) on the market? (Answer also yes if you absolutely need or want a product like this). It's true that silent storage is the most hard to obtain goal when building a quiet s...

I wonder if you can run these boards with a passively cooled graphic card and CPU. Are new chipsets so cool that can run passive or do motherboard manufactures rely on other component's fans and quick-spinning case fans for cooling the on-board chips?(I write quick-spinning case fans because if your...

No one has used Asus A8N-SLI premium with passively cooled components (CPU & GPU)?

Either my reasoning is correct: If with the CPU and GPU actually cold the Nforce4Ultra was burning, an all-passive system with Nforce 4 is not sustainable , or no one bothers to share his experience.

Completely Passive with A8N-SLI premium?

My current system is AMD Athlon64 X2 3800, Asus A8N-E , Asus N6600 TD (passive cooling by default), Seasonic S12-430 (modded with Scythe S-FDB fan SFF21D and Acoustifan mounts). No overclocking whatsoever. Cool&Quiet enabled. I have run the system successfully by cooling the CPU, the Chipset and GPU...

Swiftech MCP655 (Laing D5) incompatibility

Hello, I have recently bought an MCP655 12 VDC Pump to use with my Zalman Reserator but I found out that my Tygon 3603 (3/8" I.D. - 1/2" O.D.) tubing cannot stretch enough to be connected with the pump which is compatible with 1/2" I.D. tubing.I know that one way of dealing with it is to use 1/2" I....

Nice post. However, you say the D5 requires 12V to start so you were looking for a fan controller that provides 12v on startup, but the built-in voltage regulator doesn't it startup the fan on any of its settings, even the lowest one. Also, if I buy this pump I will be operating it at its lowest speed...

Yeah, I need an enclosure-muffler specifically designed for 2.5'' drives too.
The drive enclosures from gup.co.jp ,Nexus and Scythe occupy too much space and they don't fit into 3.5'' bays of course.
I wish a product like that with high noise-reduction qualities would be produced.

I can't think why they wouldn't. They are a perfect replacement of screws for all fans with open corners. Just make sure your case has the standard holes ,perfectly aligned with the actual fan's holes, (if it is Antec's, then it does) and is not using fan holders with different hole orientation (lik...

I don't think any kind of washers are effective.I have tried the the Vantek fan dampeners and I was totally dissapointed.
I think the only worthwhile products for fan vibration dampening is the ones sold by www.quietpc.com developed by AcoustiProducts. There is also a review of these on SPCR.

The weird fan specs that Firetech reported seem to be corrected now because I did not find them in the EU scythe site nor in the USA one.
