pata for harddisks is really outdated

They are right with the performance of 8600GT. It is barely better any better than 7600gt. I personally am going for a 7900gs and throwing on an HR 03 onto it. In Canada, 7900gs with hr 03 is roughly $20 more than gigabyte 8600gt and is a more powerful and more silent option. I have heard that the ...

Hi,

as this one is imo the best cpu review in terms of silencing,
I was wondering if there's a new review planned?

Would be interesting to see Core (2) Duo and AM2 (EE/SFF/65nm) competing against each other.

I've owned that drive for two weeks, it replaced my 80gb ide seagate momentus 5400.3 the samsungs idle noise is very similiar to the seagate's one seeks are very hard to identify, the best thing is that there's no head reloading/resetting sound, this was very annoying with the seagate transferrate i...

I have to completely disagree with your comment on no one needing a 600w PSU. Dual core + CF/SLI + 3-4 HDs will require 600w pretty quickly. Thats not a rare setup either. Just an expensive one. In german magazine c't they tested "high power" psus and measured they power usage with dual cores cpu a...

Why the hell do they test efficiency at full load? None of our computers needs 600 Watts, what is the use of 80plus for the home user when efficiency always stays under 80% (or even 70%) at typically low loads (<50Watts DC). Instead of working on the problem with efficiency on low loads simply bigge...

On my fid I recently installed a zalman nb47 (very tight-mounted, nbf47 was way to big).
I did not care that much about the temp of the 6150 chip
but about the capacitors next to it as they got very hot either.

With the zalman cooler gpu und capacitor temps dropped considerably.

I've been searching a short drive as well,
the mininmal depth I found was 165mm,
I will go for the Lg GSA-H10N as it is also pretty cheap.

I was planning to use one of these in my htpc setup
but it seems that seagate only delivers it with ata interface :(

Like frostedflakes I was a little bit worried about linux c'n'q software.

Can you change multiplier and vcore with powernowd like with rmclock?

Hi,

there's still some potential

Try to open the slot (how is it called in english?) under the graphics card.
As a result fresh air can move in and cool the heatsink below the chip.

Just like this:
