It seems that the ABIT IP35 fan control doesn't offer such low voltage. I read somewhere that the minimum voltage is 7v or 8v...can't remember.

Maybe someone can confirm this?

I can tell you that the Sharkoon SE 2000 turns at 1000rpm with 5v. I'm using a Zalman MFC-1 fan controller.

I have both the L and M versions. The L version doesn't start anymore at 5 volts after 1.5 years (it started at 5v everytime when it was new). I always run it at 7v, and it always starts reliably. I'm sorry to disagree, but my sample of the AKASA Amber 120mm has a buzzing motor noise, even at low voltages.

It can't compare to the any of my Yate Loons.
