Why are some the SPCR staff so keen on doing Antec's job and defending the NeoHE? Are they? I think they are just trying to keep things in perspective and take an unemotional look at the situation. After all, this this is the same site that set up the Neo HE poll inviting factual feedback on the is...

Neo HE 550, purchased from NCIX (Vancouver, Canada), late Nov 2005. Serial Number S05090018546. Used with Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe Motherboard (703 BIOS I think), AMD 4400+ CPU, 2 GB RAM, 3 Hard Drives, 1 optical drive, Geforce 7800 GTX 512MB graphics Card. System would power up and regular Windows app...

Re: Only 430's in the Poll?
In case anyone is not aware of this thread: Antec Neo HE 430 PSU Users Poll I haven't posted in the poll yet, because I have (had) a Neo HE 550. I understand the 430 was the most common as it came with the P150, but I think the poll should be covering all the Neo HE's. Can someone clarify the inten...

Quick update on my situation - I installed the Seasonic unit last night and everything is completely stable, as expected. The voltages are reading in the same range as the Antec Neo HE (lower than the Enermax) so I don't believe the problem with the Neo is voltage (unless it's voltage stability that...

So I just hooked up an old Enermax 350w PSU that I borrowed from a buddy. It has a 20 pin motherboard plug instead of 24 and every single molex plug is in use (two of them plugged into the graphics card via a PCI-E adapter). I have no idea if the 350 rating is a peak or continuous rating. Anyway, it...

s1mon, what happened when you tried games with it? After a period of time (~15 mins) the PC would just power down. It wasn't heat related as far as I could tell. All temps were still good, and I could immediately start the PC again and play for another 15 mins or so. I never had it crash while in t...

Well I've just this second received an email with the tracking number for my Seasonic. Currently I'm still running the Neo HE as it works unless I play games (bit of a waste of a 7800 GTX 512MB just surfing the web though!). Kudos to NCIX (the vendor I purchased from) for: Immediately acknowledging ...

This is a an interesting read http://www.anandtech.com/news/shownews.aspx?i=25402 . It seems Antec are struggling a little with an old school business model in the Internet age. Information and disinformation equally spread like wildfire - companies need to accept this and embrace the benefits. A co...

Well I was told somewhat of the same thing, that my problem was individual as far as they knew, and the reports of other NEO owners being discussed were nothing but 'internet rumors'. Given my experience and those of others with Antec, I am very relieved that I decided to turn to the internet store...

Hellspawn , thanks for dragging yourself away from playing games long enough to let us know the results. :D Looks hopeful. However, for myself, I've been in touch with the store that I got my Neo HE from and they have acknowledged that there is a known problem and have offered to let me RMA it and ...

To be fair, mine is spending a lot of time at 100% efficiency - it draws 0W and outputs 0W   I think I'll wait for Hellspawn to report back on his new unit (thanks Hellspawn !!) before deciding for sure, but right now I'm tempted to try my luck with returning it and asking for a Seasonic ...

Neo HE 550 PSU Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe MB AMD 4400 X2 CPU EVGA 7800 512MB GTX Video card Shuts down while playing HL2 Lost Coast. Not had it shutdown during regular desktop activities yet. I can restart the computer immediately and play again for 15 mins before it happens again. I guess I'm going to h...
