I have a Leadtek 6600GT AGP. Using Rivatuner I put the fan on 50% in 2d mode and I can't hear it (my PSU and casefan are louder). In 3d mode it spins at 100%, not quiet, (mostly air, no motor noise) but it won't be louder than the game you're playing.
