Re: Thermalright Silver Arrow Dual 14cm Fan Cooler

Pardon me to go out of topics...
I must miss something... I thought that Scythe Slipstream/Kaze Maru 140mm would become spcr's 140mm reference fan... is there any reason to pick Noctua's 140mm fan than Scythe's?

Re: TT Elements V case, probably not for us (just for laughs

Damn -- I was going to use this for my new system; but I need 240.9 7 CFM... Probably you forgot that you'll be able to take benefit from the 2 x 50mm fan  : Reserved opening for two 50 x 50 mm fan (optional) at rear http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/ProductHtml/image/VL200L1W2Z/Structure11.jpg

Prolimatech Samuel 17

Haven't seen a post about this cooler in Cpu Cooling section... With 45mm height,it resulted 70mm with 120x25mm fan.. or 57mm with 120x12mm fan, almost the same height with BS, but does look easier to be installed. Seems that its performance lies somewhere between AXP-140 & Big Shuriken.. Reviews: P...

Xigmatek Bifrost VGA cooler

New Xigmatek VGA cooler, 5 HDT,the gap between heatpipes has been reduced and seems that the surface area is larger than Battleaxe, but still less than S1(?). http://www.tcmagazine.com/comments.php?id=29989&catid=2 I suppose it would not be a hassle to attach a good 120mm fan with zip tie upon it. t...

I suppose your FLX fan is NF-S12B FLX, which rated 0,1A (1,2W)? The consideration to use these resistors is your fan's current/wattage rating must not exceed resistor's wattage to prevent the resistor to be burned/overloaded. For example if you planned to run Ultra Kaze which rated for 0.25A.... Fro...

4850 green ed

Sorry, if this has been asked somewhere, it's not new by any means but I haven't find any discussion here nor review that contains power consumption for this 4850 green edition , the one without power connector, indicate lower power consumption (posibbly lower than 40nm 4770). It got more transitors...

What's curious about the VGA cooler in the first two pics is the additional heatpipes out at the ends of the fin assembly, visible by the pipe tips emerging from the fins. The second shot shows that they don't come directly from the GPU core, so maybe they're loop-backs from two of the four coming ...
