GTS 450 + Accelero S1 rev2 possible?

Was wondering if the accelero s1 would fit onto my GTS 450. I tried searching but no one has seemed to put any passive coolers on this card.

Thanks

my issue isnt that its broken, but the little metal pin that recoils the flap gets out of position everyime i open my cd drive. I fixed it by moving it back with my finger a couple times but just said "f*** it" after a couple days. looks ugly, but im lazy :P

you can try the thermalright vga cooler. otherwise a vf-900 should do it.

i use them only as a method of cooling my hard drives since they are suspended in a p150. otherwise it doesnt really make a difference to cpu and mobo temps

p5b dlx 8 phase power chips super hot

Just installed my ultra 120 today and was feelin around for pwn temps. I touched one of the 8 phase power chips and it burned my finger on contact. I think that was the reason I was hitting a wall at 460fsb. I put some swiftech beefy ramsinks on them and I am orthos stable at 470 whereas before it w...

wasnt that. the thermal crap they put on there was horrible. it was a chunky creamy gray and was oozing around the core. I had to use two servings of arctic clean to get the stuff off.

still undecided. So tempted to just get the si-128 since the ultra-120 seems to be sold out everywhere.

South bridge... that thread barely mentions the southbridge. I only read one post where the OP used a temp gun and measured his SB temp to be 72c which is pretty hot. That's why I am thinking of replacing it with a hr-05 as well.

p5b questions/concerns

I have a p5b waiting for a cpu. In the mean time I'm trying to do all I can before my c2d arrives. First thing I did was remove the south bridge, north bridge, and heatpipe leading to the pwn heatsinks. I cleaned all the crappy thermal pad crap they put on there and now the board is naked. First que...

anyone have any reviews which shows that tower heatsinks cool the nb equal to or better than downward coolers? Cause if you think about it, the p5b temps range anywhere from 50-70c while the cpu goes from 30-50c. Just like my dfi ultra-d, the nb created more heat while recieving the smaller passive ...

I thought about it, but I read that tower coolers main disadvantage is that they dont cool the motherboard. Not only that but the p5b northbridge is right next to the cpu making downward coolers a better choice right? Planning to put a passive hr-05 on the northbridge so more air flowing in that are...

Thermalright si-128 vs si-120

I currently have a si-120 and was thinking about upgrading to a si-128. pairing them up with a nexus on a p5b. What do you think the temp differences are and if their worth it.

it's just me then, thats also great news because i was planning on getting rid of the stock cooler and putting a bigger hs on, and then mounting a 950rpm 120mm fan from the side of the case so the hs doesn't vibrate and there's less wind noise. - it'll also cool down the chipset and ram too. i also...

this is for use in a p150 btw.

I know foam works well, but I read somewhere that there was a certain brand that worked really well because they were soft and didnt break.

What brand rubber fan mounts?

I am seeing these mounts sold everywhere nowadays and heard that most of them dont work. Just wanted to know which one was proven to work and if I could get a link to a US store that carried them.

thanks

Ducting a v-1 ultra?

I was just thinking about how the only problems with most vga coolers is that they dont duct hot air out of the case. Was wondering if I could take some cardboard and create a duct from the the top of the v-1 leading out to a open pci slot. So it would basically act like another exhaust. Don't know ...

I dont think that reviewer mentioned that the v-1 has the option for a second 80mm fan or the fact that the stock v-1 could be replaced with a much quieter fan. I have the v-1 myself(not installed yet), but I have tested the fan that it came with. That thing sounds like a rat committing suicide. I h...

I bought some arctic cooling mx-1 and wanted to cool some sinks on my mobo. But every sink I look at comes with pre-applied thermal tape. Anyone know a brand that sells them naked?

Just installed the hr-05 on my dfi ultra-d. Put my video card in the second slot and install was a breeze. I have it parallel to the video card. Temps are at 27-30 load. I had a passive zalman before that and that yielded 45C loads. Yet another great heatsink from Thermalright.
