No. Why would they be "less reliable"? Becouse they reside on motherboard instead of plastic shell...!?
Very strange question.

Re: Bulldozer – a funny review but appalling power efficienc

Power efficiency is worth exactly nothing without accompanied performance. Bulldozer should dig a deep hole and throw itself in it. AMD made an enormous mistake putting this thing out, maybe 4 years ago it would have a place in the world but today it already obsolete at the day it was launched. Sad ...

More working space. I never watch movies at my PC, thats why I have a 52 inch LCD for. But I do need every pixel available.

Re: Removal of heat spreader for better cooling performance?

I think a lot of things late at night, but lately I've been wondering: What if you removed the heat spreader on a modern CPU so that the die(s) made direct contact with the heatsink, just as we all used to do back in the good old days? There could be an issue of excess weight on the die, but with a...

That computer needs a way better video card. What's the challenge in using a passively cooled low mid-end card? And with that kind of hardware, a 5750 feels out of place. Are you for real ? If I want a quiet computer for programing do I need a Geforce GTX 580 ? answer is a resounding NO! Or if I wa...

I'd really like to hear from dhanson865. I'm considering such an unpgrade, though I also purchased Vista when it was pretty new and it had more than it's share of quirks. I have Vista 32 bit, so I'm limited to Win 7 also 32 bit as an "upgrade". I don't want a clean install as I have a lot of apps i...

My discomfort with SSDs is the lifespan imposed by the technology... It's different to say that a product has given lifespan according to use, from saying that average life-time for a product is *. Using the Akasa splitter I've managed to hook up 5 case fans to the CPU header. I use a simple 2-way splitter as well as an Arctic Cooling PWM fan to get everything hooked up. I think the power you get from one molex is plenty to power a whole bunch of fans...just daisy chain away!:) Unless anyone ...
