The drives has been around for at least a month now (if not two or three), yet I can't seem to find a single review, let alone one that compares it with the WD GP. Are most people simply not too bothered comparing the two?

I use a single 4850 to play games at 1920x1200. Assassins creed, COD, UT3 all play fine at high or max settings. Why people think they need high end SLI to play at this res i dont know. Some people just look at crysis benchmarks and conclude that they need to spend $500. GTA4 and GRI(D are the only...

Talk about putting a negative spin. It is pretty rare to see a *loss* of performance on SLI/Crossfire in games released in the last two years. 50-90% gains are no longer uncommon - sure it's a 'fraction' as long as it's not 1/1 (which can actually be found in rare instances) but a pretty decent 'fra...

SunBeam Rheobus Extreme and P182

Hi,
Does anyone know if the Rheobus Extreme could fit on in an Antec 182 with the door closed (i.e. would the knob get in the way)?

So you are complaining that a multiGPU setup is.. too powerful? :? I can list many reasons for not going SLi/Crossfire, but I will never complain about excess power. Can't have too much of a good thing I say. SLI/Crossfire has come a long way in terms of how well they scale and support since they we...

The (Veloci)Raptor is won't win any award in terms of cost per GB, but I am pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is. It seems that the F1 is not as quiet as it's predecessor (T166) after all.

Darn and I just bought the TRUE. I wonder if this is better in performance (definitely wins in aesthetics). A little ironic though - CPU temperature isn't at their historical highest, yet we still see ever heavier heatsinks.

Ati HD 38x0 cards had much better perfromance than peoples thought and were really good value. Depending place HD 3870 and 8800GT price difference can be very substansial. If you take the most expensive GT against the cheapest 3870, you'd be very right. In fact, you'd also be right to say that on a...

I don't think it is unlikely that the 9800 will be faster. If the reported specifications are correct (256 Stream Processors), then the 9800 will be 2xGTS(G92) rather than two GTs. I can also see it being more expensive given that it's more costly to manufacture (stucking two cards together - two ca...

Has anyone done tested the Ultima-90i at fairly low airflow (YL @ 7/5V) next to the other, heavier contenders? From what I understand there is not much to gain (or rather lose) height wise, but it does both my PC and wallet £10 (over $20) lighter. CPU do not seem to be getting hotter for the time b...

Ultra 120-Extreme, Ultima 90i, Ninja - Ease of installation

I've decided to buy a P182 for my next build (the next gen Core Duo/Quad in Q1/08) and am currently shopping for a HSF. I've narrowed my choices down to those 3 (probably the usual suspects). In order to make my decision, I'd like to find out more about their ease of installation. So far, I've gotte...

...without significantly affect the temperature/airflow? I am basically hours away from ordering a P182, as I find my Coolermaster CM201 Black Widow to be a fine looking case, yet I find the (lack of) depth restrictive for the tower heatsink. However, I am wondering whether the need to mount 4-5 HD,...

Sounds good, I look forward to the article. I wonder at what RPM the Ninja stat to pull ahead. I am not looking to run passive or a Delta, but at the same time, I won't be going with a Nexus at 5V. More like a Yate Loon at 12 or 7V (around 1000 RPM).

Another review here: http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=3528&s=5 The site is painfully slow though (for me), and they only use the XP90C as reference. Only two fans are tested. They also mention that height could be an issue when larger fans are fitted. I am looking forward to the CPU cooler round up at Mads...
