I have that same Gigabyte 7600GT in my Fusion, but I had to punch out some space on the cover to get the heatpipe to clear. Mike, were you able to close the case cover without modding it on this new version of the Fusion?

Re: Problem with EVGA 8800 GTS 640 MB - temps

I was impressed with how quiet my EVGA 8800GTS 320MB Superclocked card is so I tried putting it in my near silent Zalman HD-160 HTPC case (C2D E6600) and, while nearly silent, it idled at 75C and after 30 minutes of BF2, 98C. I finally went back to my passively cooled Gigabyte 7600GT. I was told fro...

I have the EVGA 8800GTS 320MB and I was surprised at how quiet it is, but it is definitely a room heater. On the plus side, it exhausts the heat out of the system. For reference, I believe it's as quiet as or quieter than the card it replaced, the X1900XTX with a Zalman VF-900Cu at 5v. Thats a good...

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but HDTV would (in most cases) require HDCP support from all the devices up to the monitor/TV. And this is not possible if you use a video card without HDCP support. You may be thinking of HD-DVD or Blu-Ray high-def formats which have content protection. Without a co...

Question... loks nice btw! Are the fans in or outs? Usually the 7700 work best when air is coming in close to them. Thanks! There is only one case fan, blowing out and the CPU fan blows down, both are set at ~750rpm. Set much slower and they can't start up. Best part is CPU is 29C idle, 42C load, G...

I went with the Gigabyte 7600GT and I did punch out the top of my case to accommodate it. The 7600GT is a pretty powerful card and it runs cooler than my X1900XTX with the fans on full blast. I have a thread with some pics of it in the Fusion case: http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?...

I installed my ATi X1900XTX with Zalman VF-900 @ 5V (idled at 56C), but when I fired up a 3D game, temperatures shot up almost immediately and the ATi protection kicked me out of the game since it hit 105C! Though the computer ran silently, it is still a room heater either way, literally, and the PC consumed 180 watts idle a...

It was the perfect PSU during the times it wasn't emitting that whine so it's too bad I got a lemon. I installed my Neo 550 in and it is nearly as quiet, probably because the stock case fans are still louder. Can't wait for my Nexus fans to come in.

I just bought an Antec Phantom 500 from Newegg with an Antec Fusion case and some other stuff. Put it all together and I am greeted with an ultra loud high pitched whine from the PS. I went against the grain here and upgraded my P150's NeoHE 430 to a NeoHE 550 (Fry's, $89.99). Works perfectly and is ultra quiet just like the 430. I was swayed by the positive SPCR NeoHE review; as quiet as the Seasonic, but cheaper and available in retail locations. Hope it works for you.

The rubber suspension system works great in this case as I have 3 hard drives (the maximum supported by the rubber bands) and they produce no vibration and almost zero noise, except one drive makes a tiny bit of seek noise. Good to see someone else having good luck with a Neo HE.
