The issues I would have with this have to do with the fact that Intel has crippled the platform on which the Atom runs - only 2 SATA for a server will make it hard to store all the backups and media with redundancy, plus it has no gigabit Ethernet, meaning that backups could take a really long time...

Using MSI Wind as WHS

I'm interested in a reviewer's take on using the MSI Wind PC with the Intel 1.6 GHz Atom processor. Newegg sells the machines for $150 plus $13.50 shipping, and it can handle 2 SATA devices. I figure you can drop a 1 TB WD Green Hard Drive in it along with a DVD drive, setup WHS, then remove the DVD...

I'm hoping so...don't see why not. I've got the same motherboard with a P4 3.2 in an Antec Sonata case.

I haven't read that there are any troubles when it's in a full-size case.
