It has one very serious flaw - zero compatibility with aftermarket coolers. Looking at the picture, you can see that holes are not in square. but are positioned in rectangle (one side is longer than the other). So unless you are lucky with your choice of stock cooler, then you will have hard time s...

I got the Gigabyte 1GB version and it is very quiet. Not silent, but pretty quiet. Haven't had a chance to really push it yet, but so far I'm very happy. Does it have an accessible fan control and have you had a chance to mess with it? No, I really haven't had a chance to mess with it. I didn't ins...

To anyone who is interested, I just noticed Prolimatech ... I guess with a bit of effort and a few readily available tools most ppl could copy this design or make sth similar to have a ghetto adapter. Very true, it doesn't seem overly complicated. I sent out a few e-mails to different e-tailers tha...

To anyone who is interested, I just noticed Prolimatech just came out with an adapter kit to fit the MK-13 to GTX 460. Who knows how much it will cost or who will carry it though...

You can't compare 80 Plux Gold power supplies without inlcuding the Seasonic X series . They even have fanless models too. But to answer your question: No, not necessarily. You have a better chance of it being quiet because only high quality power supplies will have a gold certification, but it's no...

I just nabbed myself a Scythe Ninja Mini and I'm running it passively on a stock Core i5 750 without issues. The case is a Lian Li PC-101 mid tower modded with one 120mm Yate Loon intake (at half speed) and two Arctic Cooling 120mm "Arctic Fan" as exhaust (also set to about half - 3/4 speed. Temps n...

I saw someone (I think it may have even been on the SPCR forums) that was able to remove the shroud on the DVI connectors to fit the S1 on there without it hitting. The actual contacts for the DVI connector went up at a 45º angle instead of 90º so it just cleared the edge of the S1. I don't know h...

Looking at it again, I really think a 8800 gts could fit in it, but I'd like someone who has a NSK1480 to confirm this. I have an Antec Minuet (which is prettymuch the same as the NSK1480) and you will not be able to fit anything but a low profile card in there. I haven't seen a low profile 8800GTS...

The VaporX version of the HD5770 is supposed to be pretty good and should perform pretty close to the GTX260.

Same here, mu 4850 ran passive just fine with the Accelero S1.Deliriou5 wrote:I'll second the Accelero S1 rev2. I have that on my 4850 running passive. It's great. Low temps and no sound
Can't go wrong with that.

Just found a review at BenchmarkReviews where they test the MK-13 on a 9800GT with no fans attached. It actually still cooled better than the stock cooler! A 5850 will probably be pushing the thermal limits of the MK-13 with no fans.

A review is also posted at Legion Hardware. As for availability, Frozen CPU is the only place I've seen it listed and they don't have an ETA. I am very excited for this to finally become available. What do you think are the chances of this cooling an HD5850 passively with decent surrounding airflow...
