Re: Please help me set up my hard drive partitions

Great great advice.... thank you thank you! If I can get away with the same key for both OS's thats def what I'm going to do. Can I get away with this method with one ssd and one Hdd ? Or maybe two smaller ssd's for the os's and softwares for each primary tasks and then one HDD for data storage part...

Re: Please help me set up my hard drive partitions

Yeah I've read to run two OS's for each task at hand. One for recording studio and one for designing... but what about gaming? and use a totally separate HD for all file storage. What the file storage HD work with both OS's? A bit confusing and I dont want to buy another win7x64 pro key. :(

Please help me set up my hard drive partitions

I am using this computer for multiple things that normally people only have one computer for and I am somewhat convinced partitioning will help me but I need help. Or maybe just separate hard drives. Well first of all I believe we can ask God questions and get answers but sometimes not how we want etc etc.... but going with the theme. How should I partition my hard drive? Or shouldnt I?

Should I partition it and how? I've seen some people have like 10-15 different partitions for things which say the reason is for defragment purposes of certain drives and incase one fails others will still be in tact? For instance. On one computer I do recording audio, bands, rappers, etc, mixing, e...

Ok got the Accelero Sp Rev 2 installed. A bit tricky for my card had to mod some of the voltage regulator heatsinks. No biggie. Just installed RivaTuner and I'm running right now at 43C. My pc is officially almost silent! Cant hear anything but a slight slight slight slight wind sound which Im guess...

Just a note: I have my GPU fan on a zalman fanmate. When I game, I manually crank it up to 2500RPM to get some real air blowing over the thing. When I'm done gaming, I often forget to bring the RPM back down to earth, so Ill be sitting there and about 10 min later think to myself..wtf is taht noise...

No, I remove the duct and seal the holes in the side pannel Is how I voted, cause that's how all the big boys do it my mom told me. Thats a good build meato! Be careful with the ripjaws ram if your going to use an aftermarket CPU cooler/fan because of possible clearance issues. I would go with a different case fan 18dBA is still just too loud for me. The 120mm scythe's I got are 8dBA and 10dBA and still push a good amount of air...

Hey rogue or anyone. I suspended the hard drive like the ascii diagram and kept it the same way front to back. I'm wondering if I can mount it so instead of the SATA plugins on the back of the hard drive facing the MOBO so that it faces up. This would make the hard drive fit in my case better. To sa...

From some website: Replace the fan Most chipset fans are 40x40x10mm, and Papst/EBM makes an excellent replacement fan called 412FM, however, many gfx cards and chipsets use special mountings for the fans, which makes it impossible to replace the fan with a standard fan.
