No reply yet.

Actually I'm using it with my Ivy Bridge CPU on Asus LGA1155 board. According to Scythe homepage all 1155 coolers should be compatible with the 1200 socket. Therefore it should be possible to install without any modifications, right?

The time has come (for me). I want to upgrade to a Comet Lake CPU. Is there a way to use Ninja SNCJ-1000 with the LGA 1200 socket?

3 ram sticks - not possible?

hi, I have a PC runing on Asus p8h77-m pro motherboard with Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3-RAM 1600 MHz 9-9-9-24 ram. Now I bought a new Ram stick Crucial Ballistix Sport 8 GB (1x 8 GB) DDR3-RAM 1600 MHz 9-9-9-24. However, when I put this new stick into the board, the computer does not bo...

Re: Asus P8Z77-V Pro: Xpert Fan Control for LGA1155

@Max_s: that was the case of the ASUS boards since... well i think forever, my S775 boards were the same - CPU fan only 4-pin, all chasis fans controlled together (3 or 4-pin fans), PWR FAN always 12V. Fine, thank you. For me it would be also important to know if there is a possibility to control t...

Re: Asus P8Z77-V Pro: Xpert Fan Control for LGA1155

I'm glad to confirm that Xpert2 works also on Asus P8H77-M Pro board. It has 4 fan connectors: power-fan that does not have controlat all and runs at full speed, cpu-fan + two additional chassis fan connectors. With cpu-fan header only 4-pin fans can be controlled and it is limited to the minimum fa...

Re: Help me build budget pc suitable for me!

For basic use, the Pentium is fine. The low end i3 ($130) is 10-30% faster than the high end Pentium ($99) for a given application due to higher clock speed and larger cache.

I think all Ivy Bridge dual-core CPUs (apart from Celerons) have the same L1-L2-L3 cache.

Re: Help me build budget pc suitable for me!

I'm going to build a system for very similar applications. I was actually of the opinion that say an Ivy Bridge Pentium as G2120 could be more than enough for these applications, especially since Hyperthreading is almost not used in Photoshop etc. What you people think, do i3 or i5 give much improve...

There are a couple of boards from Gigabyte, which look pretty much the same. what is the difference for example between GA-MA78GM-UD2H and GA-MA78GM-S2H?

A two fan system on GA-MA78GM-S2H?

Actually, this topic in a way repeats the parallel one about this wonderful MB. Anyways, I built my system as following: - Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H - 4850e - 512MB Sapphire Radeon HD3450 - Seasonic S12 380W - Antec SLK3000B I've managed to install a big Ninja without a fan onto the processor. Re: PC upgrade: AMD-3200+, Asrock 939SLI32-eSATA2 -> ?

If AMD, then GA-MA78GM-S2H is recommended a lot here. However, I am not going to need the on-board graphics. Can I ask why not? You don't list playing games as a requirement. Even if it is you might find that the 780G does a good enough job. With the advent of 780G and GF8200 integrated graphics is...

PC upgrade: AMD-3200+, Asrock 939SLI32-eSATA2 -> ?

hi everyone, it's time now to upgrade my PC, which I built couple of years ago with help of SPCR. The actual confi...

what you are saying is if i don't take 7600gs (which is too expensive), and don't want integrated video, then i should get one with 6200TC, right? Might look at the Antec 3000B Case. It can often be found at amazon or some other site for ~$45 shipped. Very quiet in combination with an S-12 power supply. Re: need advice on budget pc build

If you don't care about 3D performance, integrated video is much cooler, and really doesn't significantly slow down anything else. Plus you get it for free, which is always good for a budget. For gaming the 7600GS is a decent silent card. It also has some nice video features that the 6600 lacks and...

for less than $10, you can get a Zalman ZM-NB47J passive northbridge cooler and slap it on, getting rid of that noisy 40mm chipset cooler. So the cooling thing should be out of the equation for you. I'm getting the EPoX 9NPA+ Ultra, it seems excellent with no issues at all(no SLI too), with the USB...
