How loud are the fans on this card? I've been waiting to pick a SPCR's brain about what to expect... picking up one of these next month, due to the high-res horsepower and HDCP readiness. I have been watching for WC blocks for this card, I've seen one company that is putting one out, covers both GP...

They say they're 22.8db? I thought they were supposed to be quiet? Or are they the best when undervolted? I know the Akasa make a weird noise when undervolted. I'm presuming the 80mm fans have the same type of motor as the 80mm ones? The thing with Nexus is that they give you a realistic db figure ...

That would be really really hard to do, if not completely impossible. You guys do know that 7950 is basically two SLI'd cards in two adjacent slots? There just isn't any room between cards for any decent heatsink mount with heatpipes leading away from it. I'm afraid it's a lost cause. I know, I've ...

No idea about the prices, but at for the drives they're basically identical. The only reason you pay more for the AHFD is because of the fancy caseing and window. If you're not bothered about looks then the ADFD is the better bet. *edit* Take a look here for a very good review of both drives. From t...

There was a thread a while back where someone posted their thoughts on the GTX. Said they considered it very quiet, maybe even quieter than the Zalman VF900-Cu (I think thats what they're called..) at 5v which is good! Only one opinion, but its a good one, and from an SPCR'er too. I'm getting one to...

Well they'll tell you its quiet, but then so does everyone these days (see: SilentX)! From what I've heard it isn't good enough to be judged as quiet. As for the 7900GTX, some people have posted saying they're very quiet for a VGA card, better even than many aftermarket solutions. They aren't...

And ye i think it would keep a Raptor cool and quiet, that´s probably what ill be puttin in this. After all a Raptor doesnt produce much, if any, more heat than 7200rpm drives. Especially if you compare it to a 500Gb drive. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could keep us updated on this! Its been d...

Would leaving the 'gate' thing open between the two chambers help? Or changing the orientation of the PSU? Probably done them already but its worth a shot.. From the picture I found, the port on the mobo is above the graphics card (near the CPU). If I'm looking at the right one, maybe threading the ...

The M2N-SLI has a much smaller cooling solution than the M2N32-SLI so you should be able to fit a larger CPU heatsink. However, the M2N-SLI is a 570 board (I believe), whereas the M2N32-SLI is a 590. Take a look at nVidia's site for an explantion of the differences (they've got flash animations and ...

Be weary about this review. This is english front for russian review site www.ixbt.com while I love their videocard performance reviews, I would never trust their noise claims. Unfortunately spcr ideas have not been spread in Russia yet, so when they claim it's dead silent it may actually be deafen...

ASUS M2N32 mobo & AM2 Scythe Ninja compatability
Difficult one this... Do you guys think that the new AM2 Ninja will fit on this mobo? The heatpipe cooling on the motherboard is pretty close to where the ninja would be, and they're also pretty tall (not noticable from the top down shot). Personally I don't think it'd fit, but I don't have a curren...

I will put it in a Nexus Drive-A-Way HDD enclosure as soon as I can afford it. I would rather get the Smart Drive 2002 Copper which seems to be better. But it will cost me 95$ if I order it from the states! Cant get it for less. As nici said, Drive-A-Way's are a bad choice! And the SmartDrive...

Sorry, not really explaining myself properly... I don't have one myself, but there's been a few posts around saying that - despite the option to do so - enabling AAM does nothing to the drive (speed or noise wise). If you do a search for 'Raptor' & 'AAM' you might be able to find it. I guess ...
