unfortunately, the people in power get elected by telling people that there is plenty of oil and energy out there for them to keep pumping into their SUVs, and living as lavishly and wastefully as possible... after all, isn't this the meaning of freedom? people will never accept having their freedom...

Funny you say that. My favorite lunchbox growing up was my Rambo (II) lunchbox, with him holding an Browning M60 (the big gun). And I also drew pictures of army guys and fighter jets and all that stuff. .... It's a wonder we didn't all shoot/poison/stab/crush/kill ourselves when we were kids, witho...

Also, this SUV thing I'll never understand. People around here seem to think you need an SUV for a couple reasons: it's good in the snow , and it holds lots of people. Oh yeah, and it holds lots of stuff. I think people have forgotten that cars can do just about everything people do with their SUVs...

Crazy stuff... I'm always shocked by stories of kids driving around at 15 and 16 in the US. Here, you have to be 17 to get a learner's licence... they may be upping the limit to 18 or 21 over the next few years. [off topic] i find it a little ass-backwards that kids are deemed "responsible" enough ...

Fuuny thing is if you look at big bikes the percentages improve but the numbers are still pretty bad. Now you could attempt to travel on a skateboard with a 50cc 2 cycle engine, but we would all choke to death overnight. 2 cycle engines and carbs should have been outlawed by now for all vehicles an...

it's nice to see a sensibly sized car being made for a reasonable price... i hope it takes off... imo, the fundamental problem with cars is their size... you have over 1000-2000kg of steel, carrying 60-100kg of flesh and bones... doesn't sound very efficient to me... it doesn't matter what kind of p...

SPCR only tested with low bit rate HD video files and not Blu-ray or HD-DVD discs; the difference is of a very large magnitude.
