Another thing to watch is Power Factor.
For example this power supply has >80% efficiency
and Active Power Factor of 0.95
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817104031
and you have to watch that the connectors, power, and +12v output(s) power
meet your needs.

Nice circuit. The large fans seem to have startup problems maybe because they have more mass. I have one 140mm fan that will run reliably at 3v, when given a startup voltage boost. Just got my Ninja 1100 and the bottom surface didn't look good. Some residue left from the plastic cover on the base. Might just be oxidation but when I did a fine lap, I can tell the edges are high. You can see the Triangle image from the plastic cover on the base, but that could be oxidation. Mayb...

Scythe Ninja 1100 Height above mobo ?
Could somebody please measure the height above the motherboard that
the 1100 Ninja reaches?
I know the heatsink is 150mm, but don't know how much the AM2 socket adds to the height.

AGP 7600 GT
Sent my .rom file to request support for the AGP 7600GT.
It shows 1.3v for 2D and 1.3v for 3D.
Can anyone point me to the files needed to flash the BIOS,
if we get native support for AGP 7600 GT.
TIA

What I consider a new approach is using a slow speed large 140mm fan to cool the entire VGA card from BELOW. The PWB will act as a heat spreader to some extent. The generic part is you could use a large fan like this for various styles of AGP, PCIE cards provided you tweak the voltage/airflow for yo...

Failsafe Overtemp shutdown ?
Has anyone seen any anything for sale with something like a couple temperature probes that I can place on my CPU and GPU that will shutdown my computer if they exceed certain temps ?
Speedfan, Mother Board Monitor, etc don't work on my system and
my Bios doesn't support fan speed or temp monitoring.

Pics 9 and 10 here look dangerous.
If those are metal screws, the multilayer board needs to have trace sufficient
clearance in the holes and around the holes. I would guess near those
holes is where a short took place.
