Comment on Review of P183

Mike and Lawrence, I'm not sure whether my recollection is right, but didn't you at one stage test each case with the spcr reference Nexus fans? I don't have a problem with the review but given the majority of people who buy this case and who look at this site will replace the Tri-Cools as their fir...

I think you've reached a point of diminshing returns

I'm very impressed by the scientific way you've managed to find and eliminate sources of noise contamination. I know you are a perfectionist, but I think you have probably done all you can to easily lower the ambient noise. Its time to start to use the chamber and prosper through your handiwork :win...

That would assume that I have bought from Nintek

So, any updates from the original poster? How easy is it to setup a quiet pc business in Brisbane and what would the postage be to the rest of Oz?

By all means join the club, but you have to compete with PC Case Gear in Melbourne and Nintek in Perth (they have the monopoly on Noctua so far).

Thermalright Sl-97a on AM2 - will it cool a X2 5600+?

I'm probably going to upgrade from a Athlon XP 2500+; but I'd like to still keep the Sl-97a and use it on an X2. Now the Thermalright website says that this cooler can handle up to a 5000+. Would I be correct in thinking that the website hasn't been updated to take into account the F2 and F3 steppin...

I was in the same position as you, but made the decision to buy the Sl-97a. The fact that you can use it on 939 and AM2 (with a new socket guide available from Thermalright) made it easier to handle the high cost. My 2500+ Barton is silent with a Nexus 92 mm fan on the Sl-97a at 5v. Its 10 degrees c...
