I think you've reached a point of diminshing returns
I'm very impressed by the scientific way you've managed to find and eliminate sources of noise contamination. I know you are a perfectionist, but I think you have probably done all you can to easily lower the ambient noise. Its time to start to use the chamber and prosper through your handiwork :win...

Thermalright Sl-97a on AM2 - will it cool a X2 5600+?
I'm probably going to upgrade from a Athlon XP 2500+; but I'd like to still keep the Sl-97a and use it on an X2. Now the Thermalright website says that this cooler can handle up to a 5000+. Would I be correct in thinking that the website hasn't been updated to take into account the F2 and F3 steppin...

I was in the same position as you, but made the decision to buy the Sl-97a. The fact that you can use it on 939 and AM2 (with a new socket guide available from Thermalright) made it easier to handle the high cost.
