Topic: Neo HE 500: cables reach in P180? MB compatibility issues?

I'm running the Neo HE 500 in a 180 (all three fans on low) with an AMD 4600, 3HD and a X300 video (no gaming).

I can never hear the fan of the power supply, i donlt even think it is on!

NEver had any issues, no BSOD or any other incompatibility, despite being on a Asus mb.

Coolermaster eXtreme Power 430W - any reviews ?

Link: http://www.coolermaster.com/products/pr ... 173&id=215

This is an extremely inexpensive PS (CAD 59).
Are there any reviews or has anyone tried it yet ?
When googling the string, it returns quite a few reviews but for a different CM PS, one with a smaller fan.

Why don't you use a P180 instead ? It already comes with three fans and many other features than the sonata.

MB Quest; Help needed

Hello everyone, I am looking for a MB with these features: 1. AGP 2. 4 DDR slots (not DDR2) 3. AM2, 939 or C2 I am having troube satisfying all these criteria, I can either find AGP and only 2 DDR, or 4 DDR and PCI express. Does such a creature still roam this planet ? Thanks in advance, BN

Scythe ninja with Asus M2N-E; Anyone tried this combo ?

Is it going to work ? MB heatsink, RAM slot, any of these in the way ?
I intend to have it all in a P180, cooling an X2-4600
Opinions ?

I am very surprised by these statements. Back in september, I ended up buying a P180, that replaced a Lian-Li case. I did not even imagine it could be so quiet! The only reason I can imagine for people paying that much money on Lian-li and other brands, is that they did not discover these forums yet...

P180

I second the P180, for it is an excellent case, well built, whisper silent and with room enough for everything one might need, now or in the future.

Costwise, here in Canada, it is ~CAD50 more than a Solo.

Shouldn't the fans int he P180 connect to the MB ?

Hi, I am about to put together my quiet creation, and I a bit puzzled by the fans in the P180. Shouldn't they (the fans) conenct to the MB somehow. I am thinking about all the "chassis fan" conenctors on the mobo. The way I'm getting it, the fans connect straight to the PS, through molex conenctors....

Multumesc Burebista, I was aware of these rankings.

Nevertheless, what I was hoping to obtain was more real-life experiences, maybe from someone that used one of these.

One thing the article does not mention is whether the extra cash needed for the phantom is worth it.
