The Spinpoint F4 HD204UI 2TB is currently the same price.. without the need for a rebate and possibly more reliable.

I apologize for the thread hijack. Anything is subject to manipulation; political or otherwise. "efficient electric heating" sounds just as plausible as "clean coal" Seeing how this house was probably heated with coal when first built and then oil at some point, natural gas was the best option avail...

Per capita, North Americans use twice the total energy (electricity, gas, oil, etc) of Europe and roughly 6 times as the rest of the world. True. We're still using energy, but all of our gas appliances (furnace, hot water heater, clothes dryer) are much more efficient than their electric/oil counter...

Whoa.. huge pictures. You really need to get this into a better modeler, Blender is free/open source; a better rendering engine couldn't hurt either. There are also opensource and cheap"ish" solid modelers out there; Alibre Design PE may be worth looking into. I do archviz/graphics down in CT and us...

...the Stealth Toilet is similar to a regular toilet in decibels but uses only .8 gallons per flush.
Not sure Stealth is a great moniker for toilet. Silent but deadly?
Then again. I can't see spending $305 for the standard model when I can easily mod the toilet I currently have.

Yeah. I do graphics work for a living, animation, etc, and do much of my 3D work in linear space (2.2 gamma); sometimes I do miss my old 21" Sony Trinitron. Although I don't miss moving it around and paying for its electricity, I just can't see shelling out $1400+ for a NEC WUXI2 or $2000+ an Eizo, ...

How did Apple miss something like this instead?
Make the iPad Touch slightly larger and offer it with or without a base. The iPad Touch would run the iPhone OS and the base would run OSX.
Perfect!

The Rocky and Bulwinkle show, Tom & Jerry, and anything Max Fleischer; his Superman 'toons are still a treat to watch. During the early 80's I watched the usual suspects. What.. no mention of Tranzor Z? Although they did bastardize the Japanese version it was still fun watching breast (oppai) missil...

Update. I got tired of the 60mm fan and trying to find a passive heatsink that I wouldn't have to cut up; so I modded what I had. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/sea2stars/8.jpg Old 60mm fan shroud (in case I still needed the original) hacked as spacer with countersunk screw holes to fit the ...

Update
I still need to do some painting, quiet down the main 80mm fan (Speedfan isn't working well) and come up with a better DVD slot bezel. I'm also considering putting in a USB port on the front if I can find room. How does the name Shamisen work; besides the fact that it has too many strings? Heh. I've...

Thanks! I managed to track down an Aaeon EMB-945t mini-ITX board for $40 which came in today. Now I'm just waiting for a used Mobile Core 2 Duo, T5500 1.66GHZ, to get here so I can see if if the board works. If it does, I'll start tracking down all of the extra bits that I'll need and start working ...

Heh. Yeah, they smell awesome being cedar and all. I only buy the humidors with imperfections; no reason to purchase something full price that you're going to put your own "defects" into. I like using them because they look great sitting on a desk or around the house and they're quite solid. I'd lov...

*grin* All solved with a power strip or a small battery backup. Hrm. I might just get one of these to screw with IT at work. Hrm. Does a Pentium-M with a PicoPSU sound fine for your needs? I doubt you need a monitor if you log into it remotely.
