Hey, unfortunately I've not tried anything strange yet. The current setup is as the top sketch - two fronts in on low (one on bottom 3 slots, one is one slot down from the top), top fan and rear fan out on low. there's also a foam filter over the side mount allowing some air in, and a 92mm hsf fan b...

Best way to fill small gaps in cases?
Hey all, just wondering what the best way to fill small gaps (in my case, at the front between optical drives / blanking plates) on a case? I've got an antec 900 that I've set up slightly differently than standard, with the drive cage / fan / fan mount pushed towards the front (they normally have bl...

Just got my mobo today, so as long as everything works I'll be setting up over the next few days. As suggested I'll start with top and back out, but also keep the two fronts in (and test temps with/without later). I've also stuck some dust filter foam on the side; doesn't block it off completely but...

A tagan 480-u01 ; I believe it shuts off one of them at low loads, not sure what'll happen in my new pc but anyway... The bottom intake fan is mainly intended to cool the HDs and bottom of the case (gpu, southbridge, tv card, etc) not just the psu. Just top and rear? Sounds like it'd get a bit hot.....

Case airflow setup help. Which is best?
Hey all, I'm about to set up a system in an Antec 900 and was wondering if you could all help me with some air-flow based choices. There's a pic below but I'll try to explain first: I have a sapphire 3850 blue pcb ( pic ) with the fan on the left, taking air from the rear bottom of the case and blow...

thanks hanson, not sure if you understood exactly what i was doing though (hope not anyway...). here's a pic to explain, basically everything's connected to seperate molexes from one psu cable length. i presume it would be ok as currently one of the fans is connected to just 12v and ground, which wi...

7v / 5v fan mod
Re: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article6-page1.html I'm thinking about doing this mod for a permanent 5v connection, but just incase it doesn't work... If I had two 120mm fans set to the 7v mod on two seperate 4pin molexs, and then a hard drive connected to another 4 pin molex on the same stretch ...

Rubber washer locations, a simple yet intriguing question...
Screw > Rubber Washer > Case > Fan or, Screw > Case > Rubber Washer > Fan. in other words, should I stick my rubber washers on the inside or outside of the case? the inside would stop the fan clatering against the case, but the outside will stop the metal screws banging against it. is there any pref...

well, it's gotta be better than it getting filled up with more warm air than it can take out, yeh? i'm also wondering if i should cover up this other air vent next to the graphics card, as a) i don't actually have a graphics card there, b) it's a matx board so there's not actually *anything* there, ...

i just found out the answer - leave it in. it did a great job of getting the board aligned properly with the other standoffs. but now i got another problem... are the white cables on the front led/switch cables all ground? or are the coloured ones ground? all antec say are to keep the lable facing t...

ok just wanted to double check this with people who'd know because i've never done a whole pc from scratch before... just got an antec slk3000b. very impressed with how many little screws are provided. not quite so impressed with my knowledge of what they're all used for. see pic: http://www.inaudib...
