Has anyone tried this HSF with the Abit AW9D-Max? Are the two compatible? I have contacted Scythe and they have told me that the Socket 775 bracket may interfere with caps next to the cpu socket on the AW9D-Max. The problem is that you're using the stock e6600 HSF. If you want a quieter PC that simply has to be replaced with something better.

Thanks very much for all your help bishoptf, I really appreciate you taking those pics for me!

Judging from those pics, I may avoid the Epox board as the memory slots are right up against the retention bracket and I'm pretty certain the heatpipes on the XFire will interfere with them.
