This is a fantastic thread. Kudos for starting it.
I'm another rev.B3 @ 1.3250v statistic. :(

Just wondering, what's the lowest voltage people using when overclocked to 3GHz?

Thanx for the replies... I have a rev. B3 unfortunately. :( But it overclocks to 3GHz which is as far as I would push it (i'm currently not o/c'ing...stay calm peoples :) ) My current temps are ~50c idle and ~68-72c under load. But I was so keen to try out quad processing I think i need to reapply A...

Upgrade from a ninja?

I owned a classic setup: P180 case, E6600, P5W-DH Mainboard and a Ninja Rev.B heatsink... ...then i upgraded to a Q6600.  :D Now my temperatures a little higher than I like, I'm contemplating upgrading the Ninja to a Ultra 120 Extreme. Do you people think this worth the time/money? Hone...

Re: Fanless CPU Heatsink For E6600

Perhaps i can help. i own a E6600, P5W Deluxe, a P180 case, a Phantom 500W PSU and have replaced the p180 fans with nexus fans too ... :) So i think we're on the same path. I initially tried running my E6600 with a Ninja Rev.B without any additional fans; so it relied ONLY on the case fans. However ...

Ninja Rev.B + Striker Extreme 680i board = ???

Hi. Does the Ninja Rev.B fit on the new Asus Striker Extreme mainboards? More specifically, does it clear the stock heatpipes

thanks.

i have to ask, why are you only considering HS's w/ 92/100mm fans? Why not the 120mm range?

The HR-01 with duct will mostly likely cause problems with a passively cooled 570SLI NB. It's not ideal.

Nice to make your aquaintance. :)

Shouldn't this be in the CPU Cooling forum? :? Regardless i'll try to help. Depending on your ambient temp 48'c idle definitely sounds hot, but not insanely high for the Intel stock cooler in a HTPC case. I'm running my 6600 at 3GHz with a Ninja, the ambient temp is about ~18'c and the CPU is idling...

According to the people i've spoken to you don't actually need as much AA (or was it AF) due to the res being so high being able to compensate for / remove the requirement for it. Yes, this is true.
