Suggestions for 120mm+ horizontal for accelero s1

Hey everyone, I've been browsing the market for a affordable 120mm that I could cable tie to my accelero s1 (is that how everyone attaches their fan?) I've heard of problems mounting fans horizontally (like the nexus and slipstreams?), so I wanted to make sure before I make a mistake! There seems to...

nice build!
i suggest moving that fan on the ninja in like with the 120mm exhuast on the rear, cause its probably having a hard time sucking air being so close to the graphics!
otherwise looks good!

i believe his builds are more or less demonstrations of new "silencing" techniques and methods rather than to have a power house pc.
bluefront develops many ideas that are commonly used by people here. just because his parts are the newest doesn't mean his ideas are valid.

:D nice job

For marketing purposes, drive manufacturers quote capacity based on 1,000,000,000 bytes per gigabyte. But there are not 1,000,000,000 bytes in a gigabyte. There are 1,073,741,824 bytes per gigabyte. Divide 500,000,000,000 by 1,073,741,824 and you get 465GB. You can check for bad sectors with chkdsk...

good thing your getting modular! otherwise cables will be a mess!!
if u can wait a bit, see if u can get some of the new hd36x0 series instead. they are relatively the same price,
but should run cooler and draw less power. (55nm based) and perform better too ;)

i just bought my hd501lj
thank to all that help me so far ;)
anyway i noticed that out of 500GB, i only have ~465GB available.
should there be this massive 35GB difference or does mine have some issue?
i read some ppl complaining about bad sectors etc. how can i check for this?

thanks!

thanks for the help
i guess i'll be going with the hd501lj then
the cost for a 750gb + is simply too expensive $/gb ratio
otherwise i would look into the Samsung 750GB with 32mb cache.

Anyways it'll still be an upgrade :D thanks

looks very clean for a generic case!
why the mini ninja and not the regular ninja though?

for ide cables i seen ppl fold them so that they are flat against the side panel of the case until it goes up a little and folded again to plug into the connector.
try that :D

Thank you very much Jan.
I never knew that power could be transfered through the 3 pin to the 3 pin molex.

I plan on getting 2x 92mm nexus, this will save me from using an extra fanmate! :D

thanks again for clarifying.
