Hi Hifi,
No, that notch wasn't a problem for me. I managed to screw in both screws without a hitch.

Nice build you have there and setup for that mater. Just a tip with the Sub-woofer, mounting it on the CD Deck probably isn't the best idea because the Amplifier unit will be subject to vibration which will cause CD's to skip. However if you dont listen to CD's or have the unit at loud volumes shoul...

No i don't think it's too loud, compared to my LX700, is sounds dampened. The DVD drive isn't very noisy, you can control the speed of your drive using Nero Drive Speed . Yea i noticed those holes, not sure what they are there for. Maybe if you spill coffee on the keyboard  ?

That's an idea, but i think i'll leave the hard disk mounted on the rubber grommets, that way it won't go anywhere!

The Abit IP35 Pro can control all the fans via software or BIOS. Much better option than the Gigabyte MB IMO.

Thats a very detailed review, well done. In revision 2, they should replace those fans with some nexus ones and some soft rubber grommets for hard disk mounting. I'd be interested in the results.

How people is doing to use them if they have 4 pin headers on their motherboards ??
You can plug in a 3-pin fan connector into a four pin fan header.

I couldn't find a tutorial for you but here is what you do. 1. Remove all of the wires from both fans at the connectors except for one yellow wire on one fan ( the yellow wire is for RPM Monitoring, so you only need one). You'll need a pin or something small and thin so that you can remove the pins ...

I've used a Scythe Kamakaze 2 92 mm fan on my HR-03 which is mounted on a 8800GTS. It has a manual fan control and can range from 1000RPM to 3800RPM, which at maximum it moves 73.6 CFM but of course is loud (claims to be 46.0dbA). So when your in 2D mode, you can set the fan to minimum and is very q...

Ahh yes i forgot about that trick. Do you think the Mobo fan headers can handle two fans at once? I'll see if the manual has anything along those lines about max power output .

I couldn't control the previous fans in speedfan because they had there own fan controler, i think its called a rheostat. The other fans did a great job and were quiet, but i wanted something that didn't require me to manually change the fan speed.

Gigabyte P35-DS3P Fan control issue

Hi, I just recently got four Nexus Real Silent Case Fans. My plan was to switch over my other fans, Kamakaze 2 fans, and replace them with these nexus fans. Everything has been wired up, all fans are to the mobo header. But i can't seem to control all the fans. I can control the CPU and GPU fan in s...

does the new Designer 500 enable you to hide cables in the back like the P150 ? I didn't even know that the P150 could do that :S I would say yes. The Designer 500 is basically the same chassis, though it has a slightly different front bezel (more colour) , and comes with an Antec Earthwatt 500 PSU...

The Last P150

After lots of research, i've finally built this quiet PC. When i saw Ralf Hutter's P150 , I wanted one. Apparently, the P150 is discontinued and the Sonata designer 500 is to replace it. I had trouble finding one in Australia, but after ringing round about 10 shops i found one :D ! Hence, the name o...

I would not say there are a lot of options but their is enough to suffice me. Having said that, their is very little competition in Aus, cause everyone buys from PC casegear. I would like to see fans like Nexus and Scythe in more computer shops. If you set up a shop, I'd defiantly check it out :wink...

Where i come from Scythe and Nexus fans cost the same, so money is not an issue. Decisions decisions.... hmm. Ralf's computer has an XP-120 with a nexus fan, but his CPU is an Intel 3.4 Prescott? CPU. So, does a E6850 run hotter than a Pentuim 4 3.4 GHz Prescott?
