Do you ever have any problems with SATA power cables disconnecting from the drives? I've found SATA power cables to be horribly unreliable. I prefer the solid connection you get with molex connectors, but IDE drives are gradually disappearing... :(

Any quiet slot fans?

My temps are okay, but I'm always looking to go lower. What can I put next to my video card that will *quietly* push air out of the case?

They also sell a Thermaltake A2329 Silent Cat.
The Nexus is for people who either don't know about fan controllers, or who don't want to know. Avoid the "Silent" Cat at all costs! :D
Ummm... what if you have a Nexus and undervolt it???

That's a nice temp! I guess it just depends on your priorities... I used to have a VF900, but I found it too loud. *shrug*

I notice they've placed it in a new product category, "Veris." Also, it now includes an IR receiver (how they missed this originally is beyond me).

Now they just need to add the Micro Fusion! Please please please!!!

From what I have heard, this thing runs SCORTCHING HOT. But that is all I know :D That is false. Most people are getting excellent temps with this card. Mine is idling at 46C currently. I've heard reports of some "squealing" sounds coming from it - I'm waiting for some time to go by for more report...

Didn't say it's annoying or that it's making a racket... just that it's the loudest component. In my SOLO case, I also have a Nexus 120mm @ 5v, a Scythe (Ninja stock fan) @ 7v, and 2 x Nexus 92mm @ 5V. The video card is a passive Gigabyte 8600GTS. I can stop all of the fans at the same time without ...

Quietish low-profile case with IR (or external 3.5" bay

Note that I said "quietish"... I know some sacrifices must be made in these cases. That said, any fans smaller than 80mm are out of the question. Anyway, I'm looking for a low-profile case with either an IR receiver, or a 3.5" bay that can accomodate one. It will also need to accomodate an optical d...

I don't know the exact measurement, but when I had the passive X1950Pro, the S1 blocked the 2 SATA ports closest to the PCI slot on my MIS K8NGM2-FID. This cooler is long and tall.
