Hello Shirke, I also had a pc-60, I think what`s limiting the cooling ability of this case is the single 8cm exhaust fan. A power supply with a bigger fan could help a little though it`s a costly upgrade. Some tips over the top of my head: Remove the filter of the front fans If you`re willing to cu...

This is a exctaly case i have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112022 I'm more interested in what the inside of YOUR case looks like. Cable management is an important part of keeping good airflow through the case, allowing heat to escape. You also haven't mentioned what type...

I have used both the CNPS7700 and the Scythe Ninja. The CNPS7700 actually has respectable cooling capacity, so I would consider other possibilities before rushing to replace it. For example, have you tried replacing the TIM? Do you have unrestricted airflow through the case?

It's normal for temperatures to rise under load. How high are they going? Is your system crashing or behaving erratically?

It's not the size of the image itself I have a problem with; it's the resultant scrolling left to right, necessary on my 12" laptop, to read the comments that gets very tiresome. I agree. That's why I drew the distinction between links and inline images. I prefer large images because they provide m...

I disagree. Smaller images are nearly useless on high-resolution displays. However, thumbnails with links to the larger images are generally preferable to putting large images directly in the thread. That may be, but the unspoken forum rule is 800x600 for the max image in a forum. It's to respect t...

Since you've got a free PCI slot in the back, you could use one of these:

Use a fan splitter for one of the controls and you're set for all 4 fans.

You might also consider chaining together some fan adapters to allow for a larger fan:

40mm-->60mm
60mm-->80mm
80mm-->120mm

Case with built-in power cabling?

I seem to remember reading about a case that had built-in power cabling -- for example, in the hard drive cage -- to reduce cable clutter. Anyone know what case I'm thinking of?

Replacing a SOLO side panel?

I've been all over the Antec website, but they don't seem to sell SOLO side panels. I'm particularly looking for a replacement for the "bottom" (motherboard side) panel. (I'm not sure if both panels are the same, except for the thumbscrews -- they might be.) Anyone know where I can get one?

tehfire, I really don't want to get into a huge debate, but the thread I linked shows results with a CPU that is more similar to the one I'm using, but with lower wattage. If temps get up to 56C with an undervolted 65W CPU, how high will they get with a 90W CPU? I'm not saying it's not possible, but...

They are all 3.5" Spinpoints. The storage drives are mounted in the provided bays with silicon grommets, which seems quiet enough. As I mentioned, the system drive is mounted below the DVD drive using metal adapters. I'd like to get a NoVibes (or something similar) eventually. But the seek noise doe...

Yeah, I'm aware of the Mini Ninja (see my original post) but I'm not sure it can handle the 90W 4600+. The results in this thread with a 65W 4800+ would suggest otherwise. Any other HSFs I should consider that fit in the NSK2400?

The power supply is the stock Antec 380W PSU that comes with the NSK2400. The stock fans are Antec Tri-Cools. I am using the onboard GeForce 6150, and the motherboard is completely passive. The case fans and HSF seem to contribute about equally to the noise coming from the case. Stopping all 3 with ...

Ah, I see. Well, that page says it's compatible with "all VGA cards," so the odds are good it'll fit. If not, the HR-03 is supposed to be compatible:

the fan won't fit in the Antec P150 - you must REALLY need a wide case to run it with the fan. This part confuses me -- I have a Ninja with a fan running in my Solo, which is essentially the same case. Do you have a picture to show where the clearance issue is? (P.S. The thing is, AMD and Intel CPUs already have incompatible sockets. I can definitely understand the rationale for that. But you could have the same mounting mechanism for both, and the chips still wouldn't be interchangeable. Oh well, I'm sure there's a good business reason for it that I'm just not ...
