SOLD - 3x Scythe S-Flex D 800rpm, 1x Stock Scythe fan, $15
http://i.imgur.com/b4ALt.jpg You can read SPCR's review of the S-Flex fans and the stock Scythe fan The Ninja-Plus fan is the Scythe model 62027, AD1212DS-A73GL(6TCL3). At 1028RPM, it is exactly as loud and sounds exactly the same as the Scythe S-Flex E. A comparison from a (once?) well known board...

3x S-Flex D, 1x S-Flex E, 1x Infinity stock fan
Hello, as the title says, I have five fans for sale. I've had the S-Flex(s) for close to three years now. They have served me well and I have no complaints. I'm only selling because I'm parting out my rig. I have three 800rpm models (D) and one 1200rpm model (E). $6.50 shipped each I also have the s...

Sorry to bump an old topic. I got busy. That said, I'm still not sold on one fan yet. Everything I read says that I should get some Gentle Typhoons. But I don't want to spend that much unless I really have to. So my ultra cheap option is to get some Yate Loon Mediums. I may be being a cheapscape her...

The f12s are good. An equivalent would be the Akasa Apache with the PWM splitter. They are probably a bit more expensive than the f12s. But I think you will find they have a bit more of the upper end punch you are looking for. Definitely more than your sflexes. Instead of placing one big bet on the...

Which fan meets these requirements?
Ok. I need some fans for my system. First, I need four fans. They will all be mounted on a radiator. Onre radiator is a Swiftech MCR320 and the other is a Black Ice Stealth 120. The fans on the Swiftech rad will be horizontal. Right now, I have three 800rpm S-Flex fans on the Swiftech rad and a 1200...

...... Intel has effectively shut out Nvidia from the Atom platform! Not sure whether Intel was involved. Broadcom makes a bunch of other HD chips for Bluray players; it may have been a relatively simple sidestep to do the 70012. Unless.... Broadcom is owned by Intel? Intel didn't like ION . Pine T...

Great review! I've been wondering about this since I saw it in Pine Trail's chipset diagram. IMO, this is a major move made by Intel. 1) This allows Atom to play HD content. One of the biggest cons to an Atom computer is its inability to play HD content. With this, now any Atom machine, whether it b...

i'm running the mcp350 with XSPC RX120 and 240 rads. The only noise I'm hearing (I think) is some wind noise thru the rads (both push) and my harddrives. The fans are noiseblocker 1200rpm rans running at 7V and 5 V. I have the pump mounted on Petra's gel stuff with an XSPC res top and if it was mak...

Hi, Your component choice looks solid. You said you had no intentions of overclocking, but you could (very) easily obtain 4+GHz on the CPU. My only concern is the noise of the Sapphire Vapor-X cooler. It will most likely be the loudest thing in your system. Maybe someone here can share experiences w...

I have the CPX Pro and the Db-1(CPX-1) which is like the little brother of the CPX Pro. The CPX Pro made too much noise via the vibrations for me to use. I've had a CPX-1 die on me after about a year though. The CPX-1/Db-1 is very quiet if placed on some anti-vibration stuff (ie petra's gel stuff)....

Ah, thank you for your answer. There is no room in my P180 for a 360mm rad unless I made some extensive modifications. I wanted to keep everything internal and it was hard enough with a 240mm rad and a 120mm one. Plus, I can't afford a Thermochill anyway. But I have what I have, I guess that'...

Noise of CPX Pro & MCP350
I've recently started a project of watercooling my PC. My questions are simple. How much noise will each of the following make? DD CPX Pro Swiftech MCP350 I'm not looking for dbA measurements, I just want some subjective measurements from people who've had some experience with either pump. Oh, and I...

Generally, I've found that stock heatsinks on NB's do the job fairly well. Not to say that they run cool, just that NB chips generally have pretty high thermal tolerances. But I understand your desire to have a cooler running system. Undervolting the NB is probably a good idea. Since your CPU is at ...

Have you changed your fan config since you first got the S1? I have 2 4830(s) with S1's on them and no fans. According to Xbit Labs, the 8800GT has very similar power consumption with a 4830. I've found that the airflow in the case really makes a difference with passive coolers. For example, with no...

Still not as good price/performance as my $50 96-shader 9600GSO, but it should be a great deal when it gets cheaper. I do not know of any TFX PSUs that are larger than 300W. TFX units are designed for slim systems and these types of system almost never have a high powered graphics card in them. That said, a 9800GT only draws about 85W at load. So 300W is probably enough to run the system. You might want to have a ...

That 8600GTS has a tiny 40-50mm fan on it. I doubt it will be quiet. It may not be extremely loud, but it will definitely be noticeable. Not recommended. I would definitely say get the 4670.
