Underclock for better performance and lower power?

Can I under clock a higher end video card to get better performance and lower power than a low end video card?

Specifically, could I under clock a Radeon R9 270X to use less power and get more performance than my current Radeon HD 7770?

I have a QNAP TS-119 II. The fan is very quiet. However, the drive sleep function is broke, so the drives never spin down. The unit would be silent while the drives were asleep.

Re: OCZ Vertex 2. Reliable yet?

I've had a Vertex 2 and Agility 2 (nearly identical to the Vertex) for several years and both have been reliable and functioned without any problems.

I replaced the fan on mine. You have to chop the fan up, drill some holes for bolts, and use some spacers. You do end up with the exact fan you want in return for your trouble.

I use the ZALMAN CNPS7700-CU 120mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan.

I will, when I get it working. The drive seems fine. I'm having trouble replicating my corporate managed HD onto the flash. I'm using Casper Xp, but the corporate managed HD uses 2 partitions and other wierd stuff I've never seen.

I went to the local Micro Center and bought a 2.5" to 3.5" PATA adapter. The flash drive was recognized and already formated FAT32.

Next up: Replicate the laptop hard drive.

Samsung 32GB SSD - Can't FDisk or Format, please help?

I just received my new Samsung 32GB SSD. I am hoping to replace the 30GB hard drive in my lap top. In order to do this, I am trying to use a 2.5" HD to USB adaptor to copy the HD drives. However, when I connect the Samsung 32GB SSD to the 2.5" USB HD enclosure, windows recognizes the hardware, and i...
