I wonder how the Fusion 350/ NSK1480 differs internally from the Minuet 300 which has almost the same dimensions? I found that the Minuet was difficult to silence. It had a rigid hard drive cage which seemed to amplify the vibrations of my hard drive to an annoying degree.

After reading these forums I may try disconnecting the fan wires. A little nervous to, though, as the machine is pretty toasty to the touch.
