Fractal Design Node 804
This is an interesting looking cube-style micro-ATX case. - accommodates a total of 10 drives (!) - accommodates eight 3.5 inch drives, & two 2.5 inch drives - there are two additional spaces for drives (3.5 or 2.5 inch) (total of 10 3.5 or 2.5 inch drives) - it has a similar drive mounting system a...

After reading these forums I may try disconnecting the fan wires. A little nervous to, though, as the machine is pretty toasty to the touch. On the other hand, there hardly seems to be any air exiting the fan vent. Will report back with results if I do. did you ever get around to disconnecting the ...

you dont have this issue with the older NSK3300 that uses the SFX PSU. I have plenty of space between my optical drive and PSU. I've tried both cases. I think the new path for the power cables in the NSK 3400 (the hole on the side of the upper chamber) is an improvement. I found it easier to get th...

Re: optical drive that fits in the NSK 3400?
I want a cd/ dvd drive (preferably sata) that will fit the NSK 3400. Does anyone have a suggestion? (It appears that a 19.8 cm long drive - which seems to be the most common length for optical drives - won't fit in the NSK 3400) I got a Pioneer 212 which fits ok (its about 18 cm long - leaves a gap...

Re: High Compatability Linux Soundcard
I have several Chaintech AV-710's, which supports analog 5.1 and has an optical Digital SPDIF out, which is great for passthrough to a receiver. This card is dirt cheap. I have one of these. It has worked well with debian and kubuntu/ ubuntu distributions. it's a good choice if you are listening to...
Re: Envy24
Alright I've been looking at the Envy24 chips, and that Chaintech is rediculously inexpensive! I'm always weary of things that seem `too good to be true`, however...why is the Chaintech so cheap? Can anybody vouch for its sound quality? Why's it so cheap? I've had that Chaintech card for over a yea...

is Antec introducing a new mini-tower called the NSK 3480, or is this a typo/ error:

I recently purchased both a NKS 3300 and a Minuet. The NSK 3300 was very quiet just using the default hard disk mounting options (the soft clear silicone grommets). The Minuet was disappointing from a silence perspective. I tested the same Samsung 120 Gb (a spinpoint P120) drive in both cases. In th...
