Does it come with bolt-through mobo hardware? That's what I hate about my HR-05 is its less-than-secure looking attachment to the mobo. Thermalright does offer a bolt-through kit on their site, but I wish they made them standard parts of the kit.

Is there any way to lower the voltage more via software. Thanks Are you getting any vibration between the Noctua and the CPU heat sink? are they touching? (I guess I am trying to see if the loud fan noise is coming from the Noctua itself, or if there's some residual vibration coming through the hea...

I would have had the same assumption on the 4/8 pin connector (that it works either way). But as long as it works who cares - especially after 14 weeks I would imagine.

I'd go with the e6750 in a heartbeat if I was upgrading right now (currently e6300 @ 2.8Ghz)

I have an old Gateway SFF PC with a 933Ghz Pentium III in it and it's passively cooled with it's stock cooler. It's old and it ain't dead yet! My point being, I'm not sure how much more the 67 Ghz would add to the temperature, but a solid Socket A replacement heatsink with good thermal paste should ...

The DS3's stock NB cooler is barely up to the task of cooling the Northbridge. If you get a low profile cooler, make sure there's some air directed at it. I have an HR-05 on my DS3 and while that's not low-profile by any means, I am familiar with how hot those NBs get!!

And now I learn the truth. There is no incorrect.

Liantec has what they call TinyBus. You can slap various types of modules into the same slot, using a TinyBus adapter. Here's one of their mobos that use it: http://www.epiacenter.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=96&page=3 and here's the TinyBus module for MXM PCIExpressx16 card: http://...

What type of cooling are you using on your NorthBridge? The DS3 NB is notorious for getting scorching hot. It's probably fine if you aren't planning on any overclocking, but the stock NB cooler without any decent airflow could cause you some problems. I do like how the fan is sandwiched between the ...
