Hi Guys,
I have a DVDRW recommended on this site for being fairly quiet... but I can say it aint - I have seen some comments about on software that slows down the drive? Is this correct... if so what should I look to install to slow the spin down?
Cheers,

Can I get freesat HD through Vista MCE & Sky Dish?

I have a Sky Dish already setup with Sky+ in the main TV room. Wondered if it would be possible to get a Satellite TV card for the PC and link this to the SKY d...

Wow... QNAP products certainly tick every single box under the sun!! The 209 looks like just the toy for the job. Possibly a bit overkill, but certainly some of the functions it offers I would take advantage of. Thanks, would you mind if I dropped you a PM if I got one and got a little stuck? I woul...

Hi Guys, Been reading up on what raid boxes are avaialble and it seems the D-Link DNS-323 is a pretty decent choice. I have a stack of old SATA HDD's and so this could work well. Sapphire 3850 SILENT Heatpipe 512MB
Thanks to your help here and a few reviews online, it seems the 3850 runs at half the temp of the 3750 yet is not too much slower. Searching for stock of a 3850 has proven difficult, but has led me to find this: http://www.expreview.com/img/news/071130/sapphire_3850_512mb_15.jpg http://www.expreview...

3850 vs. 3870
Hi guys,
Any reason to choose one over the other... ignoring costs.
I dont game much, but do run a 30" dell monitor at silly resolutions. I would like to cool it silently, preferably not passively as my case suffers from poor airflow (OrigenAE X11).
Cheers,

Should I ditch my passive cooled 8600GTS?
Hi Guys,
I think its time for an upgrade... wanting to move to ATI, but not sure if this is a wise thing. Are there any passive/silent cards out there wiht an ATI chipset that would offer better performance than the 8600?
Thanks,

There have been a couple posts recently about this cooler and the E6750... with not great results. I am using an SI-128 thermalright cooler with a 120mm fan - I am getting great idle temps in my awful OrigenAE X11 case. Never really stressed it - but I am guessing I will get great results. Single DVI Low Profile VGA Card -> 2 x Monitors?
Hi Guys,
Am I correct in assuming - if I own a Dual Link DVI low profile graphics card with a single DVI-I connector - I can get a DVI splitter cable which will allow me to run 2 x monitors through Windows (as separate displays)?
Thanks,

What are the alternatives then to a cool (for a HTPC) case that is full ATX? Since I have moved to c2d system I have dropped loads of temp and my CPU cores idle at 15-20 degrees. I have not loaded it yet, so these temps could still get silly high. Waiting for my SSD to arrive then I can move HDD's a...
