Re: Nexus value Loud noise when windows boots

I RMA'd it and got a new one, but this one is exactly the same! So I changed my CPU vcore to 1.15v wich drastically reduced the noise like with the previous one. Now what effect does this have on my CPU, in particular to the turbo of my i5. The vcore use to fluctuate, now it is always set to 1.15, s...

If the noise comes only at certain loads then perhaps it's a piece of paper or plastic being affected by the airflow.

No, it's definatly an electrical sound, very similar to an old HDD seek noise

Re: Nexus value Loud noise when windows boots

Yes I checked a thousand times, it is coming from the psu. But it would make more sense if it was an hdd problem...

I changed the vcore of the CPU from auto (1.27) to 1.15 and it was gone, but after some gaming its back now :(

Nexus value Loud noise when windows boots

I replaced my old PSU with a brand new Nexus Value, but I have some weird problems with it: The noise is a weird buzzing and scratching noise, not from the psu fan. It starts when windows boots, it does not happen when I keep the pc in dos whitout harddisc. The really weird part is it gets worse whe...

I wouldn't even know why to choose an 790GX over the 'normal' 780G. In the local shops here, the 780G boards are sometimes half the price of an 790GX board.

unless there is some differance in HD playback that I am unaware of

that price seems too good to be true, you can find some 690g m-itx boards from some unknown UK and German website/manufacturers but they cost around 200 euro.

If the price is around 100 euro, it will be very tempting to buy one. As mentioned, there are some very sexy m-itx cases to be found :D

Does anyone have experience with the MSI K9AGM3-FD

It's about 20 euro's cheaper than the gigabyte S2H, and has all the same features.

+I think (based on pictures) there is more room around the socket, that can make it easyer to install a Ninja or any other large cooler.
