What expansion cards, how many HDD/optical drives do you want?

I assume you have your reasons for using a mobile chip in a general purpose mini-tower rather than a cheaper & faster desktop CPU...

The size really depends on how many/the size of the expansion cards you want to run (and your expected thermal/acoustic envelope). The Fusion/NSK2400 are as small as can be with with conventional full-height expansion cards perpendicular to the motherboard. The thinest case I know of WITH a standard...

I wonder why the case is lifted off the ground by the loops at the front/back. Cosmetics? Surely it can't be for cooling - there's no vents underneath?

That PowerColour 2400 is on a slim-profile/half height PCB but they then have to go put a second DVI & that radiator...
