Yeah, I think he was decided to go for the Macmini since the beginning... which is a good choice, but doens't give you much room to work with.

Nice rig cara! BTW, there is a Gol quadrado reflecting on one of your photos, lol. I wouldn't use such heavy cooler anyway. Haha... mixing portuguese with english sounds very funny!! BTW, it's not a gol quadrado, is a Saveiro g3 (the rear actually) i love you brazilians (it means I love myself!!!) ...

Very quiet. The dogs can't hear it. I already put back the fan that came with that CPU heatsink, because it spins at 900 r.p.m. at idle and doesn't increase the noise. The CPU temperatures decreased 10 to 15 degrees Celsius. http://picasaweb.google.com.br/lh/photo/F7TNItFYxRtoKnnDhAYPWA?feat=directl...

Bad location for the 24pin power conector on that motherboard.

Maybe a g31 or g33 board would be enough?

If you are talking about "top-down" coolers, there is a lot of excellent performers that fit in a NSK-2480, à la "Thermalright XP-120" (v.g. Thermalright SI-120 SE, Noctua NH-C12P).
I was refering to the HR-01 3u as the best "tower" cooler.

I think the BEST would be Thermalright HR-01 3U + 775 bracket.
The mini ninja is a very close second, though.

It would be nice to know, even if the stock cooler is the same, if the fan control is the same, i.e., f the fan doesn't ramp up sooner than the reference video card.

Heat and power consumption may be a consideration.
The g31 chip has lower power consumption than g45, and the Hd4670 is also economical (at least in idle).
