Antec P183 quiet and new build, cooler too...
This is my newest build to date, I have changed configurations over the time and now, the home build looks like this: http://i56.tinypic.com/kdu5jd.jpg http://i56.tinypic.com/kdu5jd.jpg The pictures are taken with my phone, i'll retake with my DSLR camera, soon. The configuration is obvious at some ...

Update to my PC
As you may know already, I have stated that I will change my specs to my PC because I wanted something different and new, I mean I wanted to upgrade... :) Now I have changed the configuration to following components: Chassis - Antec P182, cause it's near perfect for me, for it's cooling and quietnes...

Hello, I like your build, nice configuration, especially that IP35, good MB. But those Antec fans really got to go, at silent mode they have 1200RPM and move less air than S-flex or Noctuas. I got myself some CoolerMaster 120mm 1200RPM (max) and plugged them in the MB headers. Abit MB should ...

Very nice pictures so far and i am looking forward for the next ones. Nice build and that's interesting, modding the Antec P182 like that. I am wondering though, why need to cut the exaust metal grid, does this improve the airflow and cooling? If that's true, why there aren't cases with a big 120mm ...

Err, I don't think this is a way to measure power consumtion. :? This is only the apparent power measured at the wall. The energy is measured in KWh (kilo watts per hour) this is active power only measured by counters and the way they bill you, unless you own a very big factory and then you'll pay t...

My newest build based on P182
Hello all, this is my newest build, my system was based on the Chieftec Dragon LCX case, which is used by Alienware PC's (if someone doesn't know that already), but that chassis was very loud when I have mounted my hard drives. You can search for the photos, I've posted them earlier this year on thi...

Very nice photos, you did a great job in hiding those cables :) . Now how are the temperatures, especially for GTX? If they are high (80 deg for GTX) than install that intake front fan, I see you have put the cage and the plastic that holds the fan. Also can you use some zip ties? If you have an ele...

You can put that Raptor drive in the bottom chamber, but use one of your low rpm fans in the chamber to suck some air from outside. If you use the lowest drive chamber, it has the silicone gromets attached to it, use them to mount the drive, it will surely reduce the vibration and it will also cool ...

You may be right about the bottom cage fan and upper fan. Not all PC's require that much airflow, especially when motherboards do not have heatpipes "plumbing like" which tend to get hotter than normal heatsinks do, because of the unification of pipes and lack of airflow. Samsung drives are co...

And for the front fan, you can set it to vent the 8800GTX using the upper hard drive cage that came with the P182 and attach with the metal clips found in the accesories box of the chassis. I did that, and it lowered my temperatures with 5-6 degrees. It's not much but it also blows on the northbridg...

You are right with the elastic, but I had in mind to insert some soft rubber between the rail parts and the HDD. (now I have a soft motherboard foam and it quieted them a bit) The heatsink is an Intel Sanyo Denki (0.2A) and is very quiet, (max 2000 RPM) and when it reaches 1600 RPM, it sounds like a...

My computer, Chieftec based with E6600
Well, Chieftec is not the quietest chassis out there, because it has plastic HDD rails, but with a bit of rubber or some help from you fellow members, I could try to silence them (the hard drives) a bit. The only thing that bothers me is that I can hear the rotation vibration, not the seek one. Conf...
