Surprised how little power my system draws.

Heya folks, I recently swapped the brick over on my PSU, I was using a 100w brick but I needed it for another system so I swapped in a 4.15A 12V brick, I was very surprised when it worked, 2 sticks of DDR2 ram, Intel E2160 undervolted to 0.96v (Stock clock), a 2.5" Hitachi 160GB HDD, and a Gigabyte ...

LE-1600 / E1200 / N330 Which to choose?

Heya folks, Im making a NAS and I need a CPU/Mobo combo to power it, I was looking at the dual core Atom board coming out from intel soon, but its going to be about $115, and I would have to use a PCI sata controller, My other option is to get a Intel / AMD CPU mobo combo, I can get a Gigabyte board...

Samsung 5400rpm 1TB HD HD103UI any opinions?

Hi folks, this has been on sale for over a month now in Australia but I havent seen any reviews for it http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/productmodel.do?group=72&type=61&subtype=78&model_cd=353&ppmi=1170 It promises a 50% power reduction over "most" other 1TB hard drives, and at 5400rpm sho...

Re: New 45nm Pentium Dual core, E5xxx series

I doubt that Intel would produce a whole series of CPUs just for that market although I’m sure they are happily received by budget over-clockers. Surely it’s just an extension of the Pentium Dual Core range built on the 45nm process! I would agree with this, Same FSB, Same Voltage, the only dif...

New 45nm Pentium Dual core, E5xxx series

Hi folks, looks like Intel has gotten around to upgrading their pentium dual core series, the new E5200 is 2.5Ghz, has 2MB of L2 cache, its still got an 800mhz FSB, and uses 1.162-1.312v (Same as the last generation) Its based off the Wolfdale core and is built under the 45nm architecture.

Im assuming its PCI-E 2.0, Meaning that an x8 slot is the equivilant to an x16 slot, And if you go to the product page they list all the graphics cards it is compatiable with, which is a very big selection.

Hey folks, Im looking at buying the DG45FC Intel Mini ITX Mobo when it comes out, After reading through the manual I noticed that like several other intel boards, It has two headers for Infrared, one for emitting, and one for receiving. Its a very small mini ITX mobo, the CPU, North bridge, and south bridge are all in a straight line along the mobo, and theres a intake fan and exhaust fan at either end of the case aiming along the line of the chipsets and CPU, so for optimal cooling it needs to be a vertical cooler.

Hi, I would like a vertical heatsink for a LGA775 socket CPU, It needs to be under 9CM tall from top to bottom, Anyone got any ideas? The Ninja Mini is nice, but almost 20mm to tall.

Yeah, seriously considering doing just that, I have a Case I made, but it dosent have any HD space, the reason for getting a real case is to enclose everything away and make it silent, So if I make my own I still have to assemble a 4 HDD silent drive cage
