i will be using one for my build so if it's too loud (only other noise will be a 1200rpm slipstream) i will make a sound proofed wind tunnel (open ended rectangle) with either end facing away from the user, and maybe an undervolted 120mm fan blowing through if it gets too warm :D

does the 'irregular high-pitched whine' vary with the load on the system? (eg louder at load and quieter at idle)

would there be a way to bodge a connection without destroying the connector just to see if it works with the pico? that way if not i can resell it for someone else to use and if so can put a proper connector on it :)

1. Put a fan in the lower chamber, making the fanless PSU pointless. What's the point of getting a fanless PSU only to dedicate a fan specifically for the PSU? (i haven't read the rest of this thread) the point is you have a power supply built from the ground up to run with very low air flow, this ...

46" LCD "computer resolution" 1024x768 what a

on a TV i was looking at it had 3 computer resolutions, the best of which XGA 1024x768 which im guessing is the vga port on the tv..
does this mean that the tv can only support this resolution from a tv? or can they accept higher through dvi or hdmi? (i was planning to use hdmi)

Thanks :D
