with the Fractal Design fans while the CPU & system temp is lower by at 5 deg celsius, the HDD temps are up 1-2 degrees ... not the way i wanted it to go...

Re: Fractal Design Define R4 launches

first thoughts: not as quiet as cooler master silencio 550 it replaced but much nicer design, in and out* the hdd isolation things dont isolate that much vibration airflow doesnt seem that good with the included fans(front and back, at 7v, which seem to blow more than coolermaster case fans did), au...

i got a paperclip and cut 3 parts about 3/4 inch long,
plugged 1 fan in fanmate, the 3 paperclip parts in the top holes of the connected connector, then plug the 2nd fan into the paperclip,

connecting multiple fans to 1 fanmate?

its hard to search thru these many posts,
is it ok to connect more than one fan to the zalman fanmate? (i have the first version)

i just hooked up 2 zalman 92mm, and the fanmate is at minimum
seems to be ok (no fire yet), but i'm wondering if adding another would be too much? :)

it was connected to motherboard, and in windows slowed with speedfan
so i guess the mobo is PWM, speedfan is just software?

was going to get one for the case and one to try to fanswap the 92 on the zalman 7000alcu,

they'll need to be undervolted- i dont know how much the cpu fan is at-with the fanmate but maybe between 7-5v (its not 5 because the zalman starts clicking at lowest fanmate)

this thing is indeed very quiet, now, i need a quiet case fan: the zalman 92mm doesnt blend in the noise anymore :) the zalman cpu fan i think 7000AL? on my p4 2.8 is very quiet at low speed, no clicking no noises. the corsair hx520: if outside the case, my ear within 1/2 meter i can hear an electro...
