my x1950pro required 32amps on the 12v (as listed on the ati website), im pretty sure the 3870 will be around that level also. also had rebooting troubles when i first tried to load up games with my x1950pro when i had a 400w, 14amps on the 12v psu. great, i think i will go with my desired case then. will definately change the stock 80mm fan to a 120mm nexus, maybe add an extra nexus at the front of the case for a better airflow. also might have to do something about the harddrive bay if rubber grommets etc arent included. thanks for ur comment

despite the average loudness, non-recommended powersupply, do you think all the other modifications such as a 3rd party cpu /gpu cooler, antec p180...quiet spinpoint harddrive do the trick? im not aiming for dead silence here, just want to be able to sleep with the pc on approx 2.5metres away
