1.5 is what i've seen as outside, but i wouldn't go over 1.4 max, unless you're going for a suicide run:) i'd try upping other voltages that your mobo supports rather than going over 1.35-1.4

i ended up ditching one of my pci hauppauge tuner cards and replaced it with a pci-e hauppauge card to free up a slot for my add on card..you know, when i bought my new gigabyte board and lost a pci slot i was optimistic from what i had read that the onboard had progressed far enough..at the same ti...

while the sound is decent for onboard, it's unfortunate that in about 15 sets of drivers, they have not correctly implemented the much vaunted dts encoding feature which gigabyte anyways touts. the driver sets either have it, but are locked at 48bit..or they don't have dts, but have the variety of s...

why is every thread on this site now being detected as virus

my av (avast) which i've been running for months, all of sudden indicates a malware virus on every thread i click here (not ads..just forum threads). i've come here a number of times and have posted and have never run into this here, or elsewhere?

Virus/Worm

VBS:Malware-gen

is what is coming up.

tres true..and i agree with the review that if someone had 100 computers in there operation with these boards, the environmental savings could start to be signifigant. then again, if they didn't make boards we could overclock, that would be a sizeable saving as well:)

your correct..i can verify it does not work on 2.0. nice gimmick, but would need to save a heap of dollars to consider it worthwhile to change my board.

in reference to the notion that a bios update would enable this on a p35 board not currently supported, i'd like to see that information. i do know that i get a not compatible message when i try to run it on a p35 ds4 revision 2.0. sucks pretty big time that they didn't implement this feature by the...

i believe they are spec'ed out to .8 volts minimum..i'm running my 6400 at .9 stable. it won't go as low as .8..and .9 is plenty low compared to the stock 1.325. i don't think the temp gains get much lower (from .992 to .9, i only lost 1C on each core)

good points..one thing i never do when cleaning with air is start it up right away due to possibility of a bit of moisture but i've never had a problem. my case is 4 ft off the floor, but it's in the basement so dust still does collect (unfiltered intake fans). my wife's by necessity sits on the flo...

CLEAN THAT CASE..OFTEN!

some people clean out their system every couple of weeks..me, i'm not that attentive..maybe once every 3 months. part of the reason is the price of canned air in canada (cheapest is about 5.50 a can and i'll go through a can a time to be thorough..but that's not including shipping which is the price...

i have the silverstone case in question. i have 2 -92 mm for intake (had one until today..added a 2nd, dropped my case temp and cpu temps 2 Celcius with the addition) those are in the front. 2 exhaust fans at the back. one of the new larger footprint heatsinks will block the possibility of using a s...
