Re: Decent pc speakers with low noise?

Thanks for the suggestions. Those soundsticks look almost too rad! Haha.
Subwoofer is likely, but not necessary.

Re: Decent pc speakers with low noise?

Bit of a late reply... @cistron I might very well do that. I'll have to read up on that and check out the price ranges, but I think it would be worth it in the end. @RHN Hmm, yeah - that is an alternative. The A5s were great until they sounded like an earthquake. The A2s are a bit pricey though, but...

Decent pc speakers with low noise?

So my audioengine A5 finally succumbed to the infamous "right speaker problem" a few months back and ever since I've been stuck with some cheapo logitech speakers my brother lent me. Their ambient noise are starting to get to me... haha. I'm probably going for something cheaper than the A5 this time...

Hmm, kinda interested in it. Currently have a P182... the move to 140mm fans and the easier worked inside sure calls to me. :P

Re: Is X-400 fanless suitable for Antec P183

I was thinking of a similar setup, a x-400 or 460 (460 was the cheaper psu here for a while, not sure if it still is) in a p182. Currently I have a 350w psu for my i5 / hd6850 computer. Now, I do encoding and some gaming, but the x-400 should be fine, right? I mean, even after ~24h of 100% cpu load?...

Have you guys seen this? I bet that would be easy to oool passively. It almost sounds too good. :o
The comments also mention another such card.

I'd buy that... :D

Both monitors have been properly calibrated with an i1 Display 2 colorimeter, by the way. A good point here, settings are also important. I should fiddle around with my monitor settings to darken it a bit. Of course, this won't change the fact that part of the screen already had an acceptable level...

How much should I expect from a TN monitor?

I hope I used the term correctly there. :P Anyway, I fairly recently got myself a G2420HDBL. It's somewhat decent i guess... but I can't say I was overly impressed. Someone called it's.. err, viewing angle in the Y-axis (direct translation with fancy term added in, nice!) catastrophical. Well, it's ...

Hey, cool. By the way, how would it stack up against a 3850? As I understand it, it's *slightly* better, but I'm not sure. Anyone who is more adept at gpu comparing here? : P No pcie-power is good, and a smaller heatsink/different heatsink design than my current card would be nice too, since i can't...

Enermax seem to be on the way with a couple of 80plus gold PSU's as well: http://www.enermaxusa.com/support/download/2009_catalog.pdf (First page to the left) I have no idea as to when it will hit the market or under what name though. There's 26 processes up now, and startup to when the comp is usable takes about a minute.

It took 2.5 minutes before the last startup program loaded, THEN I had to wait another minute for AV boot scan to finish. Now, the system is usable with NO slowdowns in 45 seconds. It sounds like you you either have boatloads of startup programs or vista(or something else). >_> 2.5 minutes is slow.

Got mine today(finally decent prices in sweden).
My computer isn't dead silent but it is very quiet(a light fan woosh thing), and with the HDD installed the sound isn't much different. I can't point out any new sounds sitting in my chair or semi-bending down from it. It's very quiet.

It's finally available in sweden. Semi hefty price tag, or maybe i'ts just me being stingy. :D

In any case, I think I'll wait and see if it gets a lower price. Or when my 29.5GB worth of free space runs out. :P

Edit: Ack, the price increased with 38usd now.

I mailed inet.se about the F2 HDD's. They said that they will most likely get them, but their distributor had no date for when that would happen (so most likely not in a while).
I guess i'll be waiting until they get it... my brother tells me not to trust pixmania. : P
