I have the same issue with my D610. Its running an M 1.66Ghz cpu. The USB drive in a USB port worked flawlessly until I installed this patch. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918005 That patch fixes a power drain issue where USB devices stop a system from going into low-power mode... So if you're run...

P180 Impressions

I have had my heart set on the SPCR branded version of the P180 for quite some time. Last week I got a chance to work with one. A client called and said the he wanted to move from his old chassis to a P180, he already had the case, and just needed me to do the component swap. First thoughts were tha...

Hahaha! I love it! Not only is does the case look very slick with the simple yet elegant spcr logo its black! Back in the original P180 thread myself and a few others asked if a black version would be available. Well thank you Mike and crew, my dream case has been created. Kudos! If I had one wish, ...

Also is the release date still set for the end of this month? I'm looking to buy one as soon as I can.
Well, unless I get word that a black version is on the way soon after... Then I would wait.

My favourite thing about mac-heads is that they don't realise almost every style of PC apple releases has already been done in the IBM-PC market, usually years before. Hahaha. I asked the Antec Rep about the same thing. I found that the silver one grew on me after a while, but a case with black anodised side panels would look slick.

Yes in windows XP it is possible to change the mapped layout of the keyboard so that it will output in any of the supported languages. But like you said the actual keyboard markings would be wrong. You could get an english keyboard and then use something like this. http://www.datacal.com/dce/danish-...

It's not unusual to use a fanless psu in a system that still has fans. Mainly because a fanless psu combined with something like nexus fans can be for all practical purposes as quiet as a fanless system, with even better temps. And a good fanless psu such as the phantom with it's extremely high eff...

Have you ever even used a Nexus 120 at 7V? A Nexus 120 at ~600rpm is very nearly impossible to hear, even mounted right to a case exhaust! Yeah they are very nice, and very very quiet, but they also don't move much air. In that situation if I wanted to get some sort of significant air flow to cool ...

But it is possible, the back isn't dampened so the noise could slip out there quite well.

Oh ok, good call, I hadn't seen that photo yet. But again I wonder, why put a fan there... Its a fanless PSU, the added noise of a fan to cool the closed chamber seems counter productive. If you want to put HDs down there and are concerned with cooling them, you'd be better off with a fanned PSU and...

Re: check out curl's link...

I'd be very surprised if Antec didn't ensure this fits all their PSUs, including the Phantom. This would probably work quite well with a fanless PSU, since that 120mm fan in the lower section would provide decent airflow through the PSU regardless of whether it contained a fan. Hello: Check out cur...

Another thing I just noticed... do you have to open the front door to hit the power and reset buttons? Yes you would have to open the door, but thats the norm for higher-end, and server chassis. Personally I rarely use the buttons on my case since I have it set up to turn on when I hit the space ba...

Verry nice. I think I've finally found my next case. My only concerns are the use of a fanless PSU in it, like the SilentMaxx 350. My concern is that the Silentmaxx is not compatible with many PSU mounting plates (without modification). I wonder of this case has a removable PSU bracket. Also I wonde...

I really don't think BTX will replace ATX like Intel hopes. At computex many reporters said that Tiawan mobo companies are "avoiding BTX like SARS", or something to that effect. They really dislike BTX, not to mention Intel's new socket design.

A dual layer could be a better investment, but if you need one now Plextor is the way to go, hands down. Nothing b...

ATX, E-ATX and BTX compatible. Cool!

Also after reading those last two reviews, I agree that this case has excellent potential for silent running. Drive decoupling for HD's and Rom's, 120mm intake and exhaust fans, and lots of ventilation.

Fellow SilentMaxx fanlessPSU owners, I have a question.

Do any of you have your PCS350 (or 420) mounted in a Lian-Li case? I'm think about buying a Lian Li V1100, but I'm wondering if there will be any need for mods to the PSU bracket.
