I have heard this as well. This is why some reviews have bad reviews of 5750's at idle, so the rumor goes. Considering the massive, useless cost of having 3 screens both A) in possession and B) on burning a couple of hundred watts, I dont think anyone cares about the 10 watts excess of idle from th...

Me too, me too! So far I'm happy with the 4770 but I'm looking at 5770 for my next upgrade - when prices get a little friendlier, that is. And also would like to use my already hacked S1 with the new card. If you could also measure the position of the GPU and mounting holes that would be v helpful,...

5770 has 4-pin PWM header and so does L2 It defaults to 35%, roughly 1300rpm The most I 've seen it spin up was 41% at 55C. At load with overclock. Not obtrusive at all, easily quieter than stock cooling at idle. Didn't try to limit it yet. But far spaced fins tell me it should work with slowed down...

Can anyone else put their opinion of the stock cooler of the 5770? until now it seems to be good enoght for a quiet PC thanks a lot... OK, first impressions On idle its almost silent. Default 35% fan about 1300rpm and you can hear it, barely, over other slow fans. On 20% and 900 rpm - perfect. On l...

Windows 7 improved on Vista and XP... Well it just proves that MS products are generally crap to begin with. That said, I use Win7 for gaming now. Yippie, it handles video card driver crashes silently with just a short black screen and resumes gameplay. But hey, such crashes occur 4 times more often...

OK, first impressions On idle its almost silent. Default 35% fan about 1300rpm and you can hear it, barely, over other slow fans. On 20% and 900 rpm - perfect. On load fan ramps up fast to keep temps under 70. At 50% starts to disturb even in headphones Lowered fan manually but experienced some cras...

The launch date for all three cards is September 23rd in Europe whereas in the US we are talking about the 22nd. Fudz...
