Sounds not so hard after all!

The cable cutter, do I need to cut any cords ? I wouldn't like to destroy any cables :)
you can either remove the switch, it is only attached with 2 screws (i think), or you will have to cut through the cables.

You can use a maximum of 3 GBs of ram on a 32bit system (if you put 4GBs it will work, but just use 3GBs). If you need more than 3 GBs you must install a 64bit version of Windows. 64 bit windows isn't a problem, I'm running it myself, and i never had real problems with it. most hardware drivers are...

Clicking Slipstreams?

I currently have a setup with 3 tricool fans. because these are far too loud, i want to replace them with a few quiet 120mm fans and a BigNG. first i wanted to buy a few slipstream 800-1200rpm fans, but I've read something about clicking noises when they're undervolted. does anyone know if this happ...

my eyes are able to spot a scythe PSU, not modular, with something that looks like a fan monitor plug. :D
(first large picture, under the coolers)
anything known about these things already?

Very interesting heat sink, if it performs so well for a lower price than comparable heat sinks from Scythe and Thermalright. Unfortunately it isn't widely available it seems, I can't find it for sale over here in The Netherlands. While $35 USD should be equal to €22,42 according to Google, the E...

it is possible to mount a 120mm fan on a HR-03 GT, but you need a set of fan clips from the ultra 120. http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/product_page/vga/hr03gt/faq_vga_cooler_hr03gt.htm#q4 i don't know if you get lower temps, but it's probably more quiet with a 120mm fan than with a 92 mm fan

Is your uncle a tech-geek? If the answer is "No" then I might suggest leaving off the fan controller. Simply put - if he doesn't know any better he may fool himself into thinking "Wow, this machine is so much quieter when I turn these kobs all the way to the left!" Especially since you mention the ...

Id go for the E8400 since FSX is very CPU dependant. Then you can drop the GPU down a notch or 2 and you'll probably only see a few less FPS. Toms hardware does a GPU comparison chart which has FSX on. They haven't updated it in a while so the 9xxx series isnt on there, but you can see from the num...

you could always buy one with 2 DVI ports and stick an AC S1 or S2 on it, but if i'm correct in most cases, it will void your warranty :(

thanks for the input. point of view is OK, not too pricey manufacturer, they give 3 year warranty. (probably voided when the cooler is removed) bolt thru kit is a great idea, I was planning to buy it myself when i get an Intel. I think I stick with the 800rpm slipstreams, because they can easily be ...

i don't think this is a very smart idea, most power stations don't like it if the electricity demands drop suddenly. don't excactly know what the consequences would be, but if they have to shut off the power stations, getting them upo and running them again would cost a lot more than some light bulb...
