Re: saving power: locking nvidia gpus' clock to low 2d deskt

You can do the same thing in rivatuner if you enable the enableperflevelforcing setting. It can actually force the card to run in only 2d only mode. I did this for a while as I am not a regular gamer. However the program has not been updated since 2009, am not sure how well it works with newer Nvidi...

Re: Antec CP-850: Unique PSU with Top Performance

I was looking at donating my current PSU in my P183 the Corsair HX 620w to another PC with a failing power supply so was researching this model even though 850W is complete and total overkill.

The efficiency numbers on page 5 are way off.

Re: Cheap upgrade for H.264/VP8 under Linux?

You could also look into getting a Crystal HD. They seem to sell for around $50 USD

However your media players will have to have support for it.
There is a thread http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1211546 that may be of help.

Re: P182 replacement with easy to change dust filters

The plastic tabs I'm referring to are on the top/bottom of the panel and lock into the main chassis to keep the side panel in place. I don't have a camera handy to take a picture. They are even discussed in the review on this site http://www.silentpcreview.com/article741-page3.html third paragraph d...

P182 replacement with easy to change dust filters

Hello Ive been reasonably happy with my P182 that I have had since 2008. Recently a very late night SSD upgrade caused me to carelessly break the little plastic tab things on both the side panels. I know I could order replacement panels but the fragility of the tabs means the same thing is could hap...

Nice benchmark results thanks, A 2TB F4 Would be mighty tempting if they ever make it to my neck of the woods. It would be great if you could benchmark NCQ performance for the F4 and even some other drives. The easiest way I know of to do it is running multiple instances of HD_Speed from http://www....

Sorry I meant park heads, like the WD Greens do and I assumed Samsung did as well. Thanks for the clarification.

Assuming your USB Ports are otherwise undamaged, i.e. they work correctly in whatever OS you use. Then try setting "Legacy USB Storage devices" to Disabled in the bios. Its a fairly common issue with many P35/P45 GB boards.
