Re: Thermalright HR-01 Plus Passive for i5 3570k?

Yeah, Frozencpu seem to be the only US retailer I could find that would ship to the UK,
although £20 for the mounting kit seems a bit much.
I think I'm going to have to get a CPU Fan so there gos another £10 ish.

For £40 I could just get the HR-02 Macho though...

Re: Thermalright HR-01 Plus Passive for i5 3570k?

Well, I've now found that whilst the Extreme4 has mounting holes for 775 coolers, it isn't going to take the HR-01 Plus & the backplate. Instead it looks like I'll need a 1755 Bolt Through Kit. It looks like the venomous one will be fine, but I can't find anyone who stocks them in the UK. http://the...

Re: Thermalright HR-01 Plus Passive for i5 3570k?

Nuts to have been going this far passively, or nuts to attempt it on the i5? :) I've been looking at the recommended fans and the noiseblockers seem to have a lot of love, or do you think it's hype? Eg I've seen as many posts around saying the gt's are over rated as those from people who swear by th...

Re: Sticky for the UK

surprised no one's mentioned the obvious - http://www.amazon.co.uk Use them in conjunction with http://www.camelcamelcamel.com to notify you of price drops, and you should come out ahead of everyone else as long as you can afford to possibly wait a few days. I'd like to support the independent shops...

Thermalright HR-01 Plus Passive for i5 3570k?

My current Gigabyte Motherboard has died so I've finally gone ahead with an upgrade from my core2duo system. I've gone for an Asrock Z77 Extreme Plus4 & an Intel i5 3570k. Now the Asrock seemingly has mounting support for LGA 775 coolers meaning I should be able to reuse my HR-01 Plus. My question i...

Antec P182 - 6 3.5" Hard Drives?

I've posted a similar message in the system advice board, so i apologize if this isn't the correct place for it. Would a Antec P182 be a suitable case for a 5 1.5TB 3.5" RAID array, with another 3.5" 1TB drive as a system disk? If not, any other cases to recommend? I would like to try and keep this ...

6 Drive Raid - Antec P182 Suitable Case?

Hi Guys, My Current 7 Year old PC is just about to bite the dust, so I've decided to take the plunge and build myself a new one, but I would like it to be aas quiet as reasonably possible without affecting stability. I'm looking to have a 5 x 1.5TB Seagate RAID5 Setup, with a Samsung 1TB F1 as a sys...
