Greetings, I think everyone who reads this thread understands that you are upset. Yet another assumption; I'm not upset, I have been scammed. It's quite different to be scammed than upset. I firmly believe the information and the matter should not only be shared, but discussed, as this is a prime e...

can it end now? ..I wish, but I suppose not: spookmineer does not consider my thoughts to be worthy of quoting, so instead he puts into my mouth word "stuff" - just like lodestar is trying to put into my mouth words "I assume" After 3 pages, the message is clear. I wish. To a person with normal IQ,...

Well I have now managed to get sight of a Clodius case fan complete with label. This is how it compares with the two other Nexus fans. Nexus 120mm 1000 rpm retail fan Branded: D12SL-12 Upper part of Label: White Nexus 120mm PWM retail fan Branded: D12SL-12 Upper part of Label: Purple Nexus 120mm 17...

Darwin awards, I think we have a candidate. I can understand you are pissed. At Nexus, (maybe a bit at yourself...) but don't take it out on fellow forum posters. Using things out of context is always brilliant: So let's wrap this up. What you are saying is: I made a faulty assumption by thinking D...

OK, I think we are getting there slowly. Yes we are. Where is the specsheet for this third fan you were referring to? So you accept that the two Nexus retail 120mm fans have the model codes D12SL-12 and D12SL-12 PWM. The PWM fan, despite the D12SL-12 branding is completely different to the fixed sp...

Re: Nexus Clodius..?

To go back to what you said in the first place, your saw the Nexus Clodius case on special offer, and there was nothing on the box it came in that said exactly what the fan spec was. So you decided that as the fan label said D12SL then it could only be one fan, the well-known Nexus 1000 rpm model. ...

The fact of the matter is, that he bought a CASE, not some fans. If he had researched the CASE he bought, he would realise they come with 1700rpm fans. Delete this thread! I bought A PRODUCT. This product consists CASE, FAN CONTROLLER AND TWO FANS. So, HALF OF THE PRODUCT IS MADE OF THE FANS. Just ...

I don't understand this entire thread at all. What furthur research needs to be done when the label already says "D12SL"? A simple re search for "D12SL" on SPCR forums would reveal 1000 or 1350 rpm, never 1700rpm... That is what the search does (excluding this thread) and to make clear, NEXUS D12SL...

For what it's worth, I think your claim that your fans had exactly the same label as the normal 1000 rpm fans is not correct. I had forgotten about it but Nexus normally mark a power consumption number on their fan labels. I have a couple of Nexus fans here and they are so marked, but it is written...

This seems to largely bear out what vanhus said in his OP, but there seems to be no mention of fan labels.... The "review" does nothing, as it does not mention fan labels. However, word "SERVER" does make an excellent point of the noiselevel the machine is going to produce anyways. Fan slowed down ...

D12SL is a Yate Loon product number which Nexus just happens to use, common practice with fans of most brands. It's absolutely irrelevant what kind of labeling others use, as the fan in question very clearly indentified itself as a Nexus D12SL-12. Due to the indentification it has very distinctive ...

All this is irrelevant though, as it does not solve the fundamental problem buyers of the case are facing. Which is what exactly? Take the time to read the thread. Here are just few snips, to get you started: What I'm whining about is very clear: the fans do not meet the official specs of the fans ...

normal people... I fail to see the point of mailing them, as according to their site, the fans are working as they are supposed work between 1000-1700 rpm. Didn't someone say they are shipped with no sticker now? Which suggests that the early batches were labeled wrong by Yate-Loon. When approached, this is how Nexus explained labeling of the fans: "The model number is not so much related to the speed but more related to the components of the fan. So ...

I really don't understand why you are complaining. I'd like to point out that I bought a D12SL, but I didn't get a D12SL. I bought D12SL with motor that's quiet, I got D12SL that's @7V louder than the original at 12V. I bought D12SL that runs 1000rpm@12V, I got D12SL that runs 1700rpm@12V. WHO HAS ...
